To my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and to my family, for whom I pray. May they find mercy and grace in His love as they serve the Lord in faith. May they always stand firm in the truth of God’s Word, unwavering in the face of deception. You are a king, then! said Pilate.

Jesus answered, You are right in saying I am a king. In fact, for this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.

    What is truth? Pilate asked.

    PREFACE

I n a world where evil proliferates in every country, Christians find themselves facing an enemy whose ultimate goal is to render them ineffective in building up the kingdom of God. He directs his anger and fury toward anyone in whom Christ’s Spirit dwells because he hates Christ, therefore, he hates Christians. His main objective is to distort the truth. He does this through his many cunning tricks that he has designed and perfected through many years of use on mankind down through the ages. He deceives and influences nonbelievers in order to keep them from finding the truth. He deceives the world’s population by perverting the gospel; distorting the truth and undermining the Scriptures, and by presenting half-truths, lies, and heresies from within the Church.

The purpose of this book is to present the truth of the great evil spirit being whose ultimate goal is to kill and destroy God’s creation, and to obscure His plan of salvation for mankind. This treatment will present to the reader the results of the research which is relevant to the subject of spiritual warfare. The research results are supported by the quotes taken from the many competent sources. This book will reveal to the reader the deception in which the many societal machines and spiritual weapons used by Satan and his minions have heaped on society. These weapons are deliberately being utilized by the enemy to bring devastation to the body of Christ.

This book is a treatise on the effect that half-truths, lies, and heresies have had on society during past decades. The cause and effect of course does not belong solely to Satan. The lust of the flesh, pride, and rebelliousness against God and his statutes are much to blame for the chaos and destruction of the moral fabric of world society as a whole. A great deal of the blame for the moral condition of society must also be placed on the Church, mainly because of her tolerance and inclusiveness of worldly ideas and the influence of secular humanism. Indeed, we must ask ourselves, as did Jesus, when he asked in Luke 18:8:

However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find any faith on the earth.¹

    CHAPTER ONE

    SATAN’S THREE PHASE ATTACK

    ON HUMANITY

T here is an enemy within the temporal realm of human existence with a hidden agenda. In the Bible he is called Satan; the Devil; the Tempter; the Old Serpent; the Old Dragon; a Roaring Lion, each describing his nature. Next to Christ, he is the second most discussed character in the Bible. From Genesis to Revelation his persecutions and deceptions are heaped upon humankind. He was there in the Garden of Eden, tempting the first humans, and he is prophesied about in the eschatology reports from John, the revelator, in the book of Revelation. Humanity, in its thirst for power, wealth, and self fulfillment has become quarry to Satan’s deceptive agendum, many of which are recorded in the books of the Bible.

Most in society are unaware of this enemy and his cagy intentions, even while they are behaving in a manner subject to his influence. Humankind does not realize how cleverly he plots to deceive his unsuspecting victims, those, who it seems are destined to be caught up in his disparaging schemata. These diabolical plans materialize and become operative in many different forms within our society. Therefore, it is imperative that the saints of God be alert and cognizant of these secreted agendums. There are three different phases in which Satan will attempt to exercise his plan of action, phase three being the most fatal.

Phase One: Satan’s Surveillance is Well Advanced

Satan has cleverly thought out all the ways in which to entrap man into his momentous deception. He knows all too well just what the fragilities of humankind are, and he knows how to arm his battalion of demonic militia for an all-out attack on the saints of God. Just as he observed Adam and Eve in the Garden, waiting for a chance to tempt them, he waits and watches humanity today, observing their every weakness so that he may trap them, just as he did the very first victims. Satan has been studying human beings for millennia’s, equipping himself with the familiarity of their behavior patterns, their nature, and especially their weaknesses. In essence, he knows much more about the human psyche than the most astute psychiatrist could ever know in an entire lifetime of observation.

This knowledge of the human psyche has allowed Satan to attain great success in bringing down kings and kingdoms into ruination. It was this knowledge of human weakness that allowed him to bring into fruition the fall of Rome, and many other nations and their kings. Satan is an enemy that always attacks subtly and without warning. His plan includes many different techniques in which he disperses in these three distinct phases.

Phase Two: The Temptation: Hath God said?

Phase two of his plan includes temptations that are designed and crafted to appeal specifically to the individual’s most vulnerable expanse, which is most often his pride, and the questioning of God’s authority. Men from every generation have questioned God’s authority, his Word, and even his existence. Satan’s best recruitments are found within this framework. He recruits advocates from the more liberal realm within society, and in that of the more modern intellects of society, and sadly enough, from within the churches as well. In his search for special human forces to carry out his diabolical agendas, Satan recruits power hungry men and women who possess the more liberal and undisciplined mentalities. Individuals within the pleasure seeking remnant of society, and those within the immoral fabric of liberal society are also his choicest recruits. These individuals are the enemy’s best recruits for his army of human advocates. Although the Church remains his main target of attack and destruction, he wants to destroy all of humanity. However, devout Christians are the ones he wants most to destroy because they pose the greatest threat to his works. He tempts all of humanity with power, personal freedom, freedom of choice, and great wealth, and those who yield to his temptation are headed for spiritual chaos.

The success rate of the enemy is due to the fact that most men cannot resist the temptation he dangles before them. Like a carrot dangling before a hungry bunny who cannot resist the hunger-satisfying feast of a sweet carrot, most human beings are just as gullible when tempted with wealth and power by this astute enemy. All men possess the potential for evil and rebelliousness against God. Satan is very much aware of this fact, and he uses it to his advantage.

Since Satan is the same tempter that lurked in the Garden of Eden, tempting the very first man with the age old question, Hath God said?, he seeks
