About this ebook

Many religious groups have been influenced by the spirit of the Apostolic Church birthed on the day of Pentecost; otherwise, there would have not been any need for the apostolic doctrine to have undergone and continue to suffer the cross, bearing the message of our Lord Jesus Christ. Such endurance arms the Apostolic Church with Christ in dwelli

The Gospel Sprint - Sr. Dr. Melvin Bullock

    Acknowledgments

To my colleagues and the many religious practitioners and theological institutions whom God has given the responsibility of sharing His truth for this age and the one to come, it is with immeasurable humbleness that I set before you the contents within these pages of truth, directions, awareness, and accuracy as an instrument of support. With this book, I aim to aid the study and application of God’s Word for every minister and futurist God has permitted to enter the ranks of salvation. Hopefully, you will accept this purpose and use it to enlarge your individual call, as well as enlarging your ability in communicating God’s message based upon biblical truth and soundness, which warrants God’s favor and acceptance.

To the worldwide platform of ministerial laymen, it is my submission to the will of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to place these pages and revelations in your hands with the hope that they would serve you mentally and spiritually, enhancing your awareness of God’s truth and your salvation. I invite you to share them with others, calling attention to self-inspection, and inspiring whomsoever the hearer might be to obey the message written within these pages while answering God’s call in their lives.

To librarians, church members, and students across cities, states, and countries, I dedicate every moment and thought, commitment and labor, to you for reading and sharing these pages with those whom you love and for whom you seek righteousness. You shall be rewarded the privilege of wisdom, knowledge, and salvation.

    Preface

And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

    (Acts 2:1)

The voice of the runner is more boisterous than his or her legs, and the inward self reaches the mind ahead of all other vital signs. This simply means that the mind has a greater capacity of awareness than the rest of the body’s team players. Therefore, the mind spends the greater part of its time seeking the readiness of its subordinate members. This is a challenging presence in every conscious specimen, whether it is the wild or gifted with awareness. So does the principles and ordnances stemming from the Old Testament’s declarations handed down from the Mosaic Law have the tendency to overshadow the New Testament’s principles? It is through and by the New Testament’s writings, which testify to the weakness of the Mosaic Law, written upon tables of stones and the strength of the Holy Spirit, written upon the souls of humankind, on the day of Pentecost, according to their faith in Lord Jesus Christ.

The message taught through faith is twofold; the Mosaic Law and Israel and the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit in the church. This concept also applies to biblical and salvation prompts even until the present age.

In this book, we will explore principles and doctrines centered upon the Pentecost as it relates to the nation of Israel and her extension to all nations. It was during the climax of the Pentecost that God transitioned from the Law of Moses to enter the hearts of those who accept Him as their personal Savior. The covenant, statutes, and commandments were given as guides unto Israel during their journey toward the Promised Land. They served as internal and external sanctions assuring fellowship with God until He would write His law upon the hearts of all whom believe in the promise given through the apostles, prophets, and Jesus Christ.

The idea of the sprinter as related to the gospel message came to birth during one of my hours of study with Christ. It was during these intense moments that I discovered that many proclaimers of God’s truth—including me—do not always search to find the separate parts of the whole, which are certain to aid the listeners and readers, as well as the proclaimers of the Word. I arrived at the conclusion that it is high time for me to seize the opportunity to harness these concerns, sharing them with those serving God’s flock as well as with the sheep. Therefore, it is my purpose to share the parts of the Feast of Pentecost in order to explain its true meaning and purpose. Hopefully, every facet of this celebration will become a permanent reminder and guide to those who are privileged to read this content.

I have chosen to label these anointed convictions

and moments as sprinters because of the freshness of their relevance to Christian living. They are raising valiant facts that some might have overlooked while others might be just arriving or continuing to seek to understand the Feast of Pentecost and its effect on the world of Christendom. I hope you will
