WHAT TO EXPECT IN THIS BOOK
I often write about how I feel. It helps me feel better; it takes me away from my stress and my problems for that moment. Like a drug that helps one feel like their problems do not exist only for that moment. It takes me to my own world where I am in control of everything around me and most importantly—it heals me emotionally. In the process of writing this book, at first, I wanted to write a story which I wished to turn into a movie, a story which would reflect what was going through my mind at that time. I have always been good at writing, especially writing about something that reflects how I feel at that moment. But not this time, this time I was surprised because I could not find the plot of the story. This had never happened before. Back then, when a deep emotion of either content or sadness would strike my heart and a feeling rises, I would find it easy to express exactly how I feel through words that seem to reveal my deepest feelings and thoughts about that current matter. For the first time in my life, I knew what I wanted to write about, but couldn’t write anything except the word—destiny. Thoughts about my life from the day I was born to that present moment of mental stress dominated in my mind.
From those childhood memories when my mother and I would watch cartoons together and I could hear her laughter in my thoughts to that present moment. Just looking back at those days when I was a little boy, I didn’t have to worry about anything. I would just wake up in the morning and run around, play, eat and sleep. I didn’t stress about anything at all. My thoughts were prolonged to my future dreams, I was fantasizing about my future: how it would look like, how it would feel like to succeed, to be prominent, to type my name on Google and my biography be revealed accompanied by my pictures and to finally say I am living my dream; to be given much respect and highly honoured. I once felt like that in my home town, where I was treated with much respect and highly honoured. I got the chance to taste that and now I wanted the whole meal. I had everything planned out to reach the top, I went all out and I had never failed anything in my life. I went big and hard and I failed big and hard. That created an ultimate break down in my life. It felt like a seizure, like my life was on hold. All my plans did not work out and everybody—my parents, family, friends, high school teachers, primary school teachers and the people who knew me were so sure that I would make it. But I failed! I let them down, I let myself down, I let my parents down, family, friends; everybody. Practically I was caught up in this day dream fantasy of both dreams and reality.
Why on earth was I thinking about
