Author Notes
In the world known as Chrome, humans and beings known as drens lived in peace as battle partners. Most humans mistreated their drens causing a massive boom in suicides. For the dren named Kura, that fate came very close due to some unfortunate circumstances with his twelfth master, Lucius Lockheart. He was spared of the suicide blade because of a human girl named Luna Bleu, who found him in very bad shape because of the mistreatment and abuse many drens like him have had to endure for an extended period of time. She took him in; fed him, clothed him, taught him the basic education and became Kura’s friend and partner.
Over the years of being together, the two traveled from one city and town to the next as best friends, often having run-ins with people who knew and hated Kura for what he is and what his powers are like when pushed to an extent by force. Unable to speak up for himself, Kura depended on Luna to defend him in every way he knew personally. Although she loved having someone depending on her, Luna began to wonder what really happened in Kura’s past. Was he a part of a really bad group where he was used for unknown purposes? What could this mean for her and Kura’s friendship that has lasted for as long as the two could possibly remember?
