About this ebook

We are at a time in our world today of needing God more than ever in our lives. A moral decay is deteriorating earth. So often we think that we know all of the answers when in reality we do not. The problem is our pride which is a sin in itself. We are not able to humble ourselves to think of a force more powerful than man. Praying to God on problems is out of the question for some. We are disregarding nearly every law that God has presented to us. There are no morals in the world any longer. Without morals, its natural now to even take the Lords name in vane. People have taken the word freedom literally to do whatever they please. Relying on God is not a disgrace, rather an uplifting emotional experience that will enlighten us on the inner most mysteries that face us. That is why we need God daily in our lives and start each day with a little inspiration

    Daily Inspiration - Richard Sherrer

    January 1

    A New Year’s Resolution

    A year is ending as another one starts,

    At midnight while kissing our sweethearts;

    The sound of Auld Lang Syne played,

    As the band making a beautiful serenade.

    Causing us to reflect on the past year,

    Of all the fun that we had and the fear;

    Such a joy that life has been all for us,

    All of the good fortune we were bless.

    I just could not hold it inside anymore,

    I shouted "Thank you God who we adore,

    An increasing faith that entered my life,

    And push away all the toils and strife".

    Suddenly that place was quiet and still,

    Not a single sound was even heard until;

    One person clapped and a loud applause,

    Cheers were heard for my noble cause.

    Someone began singing, Jesus Loves Me,

    And then joined by others singing it joyfully;

    As the band then joined in, my prayer began,

    Thank you God for using me in your plan.

    A Body of One

    Philippians 1:25-27

    I know with joy in faith that I shall abide,

    For the flame of the Holy Spirit lit inside;

    Our glorifying may abound in Jesus Christ,

    Within the reasons that He was sacrificed.

    Let your manner be worthy of the Gospel,

    Whether I come or not and if being able;

    Be firm in one spirit in faith of one soul,

    In the body of Christ we are one in whole.

    In the military we have an Army of one,

    With being Christians one body in the Son;

    We are one in mind as well as in spirit,

    Because we move together as one unit.

    No longer is it as an individual thought,

    Everything in unison as should be ought;

    Feeling the flame of the burning desire,

    For the Holy Spirit has lit just one fire.

    A flame of joyous faith that is lit within,

    Because of Jesus Christ it replaces sin;

    One with the Father, Son and Holy Ghost,

    For becoming part of the Heavenly Host.

    A Borrowed Temple

    1 Corinthians 6:16-20

    Be joined with a harlot and be one flesh,

    For of one body they shall be intermesh;

    Be joined unto the Lord and be one Spirit,

    Together your power shall have no limit.

    Your body is a temple of the Spirit in you,

    From God for life on earth to live through;

    It is merely borrowed and is not your own,

    Bought at a high price for flesh and bone.

    God has an insurance policy on everyone,

    At such a high cost for you it would stun;

    We are worth more than you ever believe,

    The total cost is just too hard to perceive.

    He gives us a body and mind for us to live,

    Ability to carry out His plan is the motive;

    But into our own hands we take on matter,

    That we suffer the consequences for later.

    It’s just too often as we don’t ask advice,

    From our Heavenly Father who paid a price;

    Blood from His son whom it had been paid,

    When did you thank Him when you prayed?

    January 4

    Beyond Good Intentions

    John 13:12 & 13

    Know what has been done by Jesus Christ,

    to suffer in agony as He was sacrificed;

    we call Him master, a teacher and Lord,

    Exactly and so is He as we are reassured.

    Christ was all these things and much more,

    How can the skeptics ever deny and ignore;

    He was more than a normal mortal man,

    To walk on water is not what anyone can.

    It is fact He raised people from the dead,

    And could foretell what was to be ahead;

    We are talking about the true Son of God,

    Not a magician or a politician or a fraud.

    A plan from God in sending Him for intent,

    Not as a scapegoat for why He was sent;

    To give His Son since God loved the earth,

    As nurtured and cared for since its birth.

    Just as a father would care for his child,

    Even if the it would become a little wild;

    So is the same for us with good intentions,

    To rear our children as good Christians.

    January 5

    Body of the Temple

    Ephesians 2:19-22

    No more aliens but with angels as citizens,

    Part of the family of God for all seasons;

    Christ Himself is to be our cornerstone,

    Relying on Him totally than on your own.

    As several buildings framed as one temple,

    Made as a sturdy structure not to crumble;

    Being built to house God in the Spirit,

    With room to store the reward you inherit.

    In the family of Christ we are all as one,

    Bonded with the Father, Spirit and the Son;

    No strangers, for all do know your name,

    For we are of one family that we acclaim.

    Christ as our cornerstone where we unite,

    With a firm foundation of spiritual might;

    A temple for God with the Spirit to dwell,

    A place for each of us to worship as well.

    We are as of one in spirit when in Christ,

    Who paid for the ultimate when sacrificed;

    Allowing us to be once again with God,

    Who we owe deep gratitude and applaud.

    January 6

    Christ is My Ally

    Matthew 10:32-33

    Whosoever shall confess Christ before men,

    Christ will confess before God in Heaven;

    whoever shall deny Christ before another,

    Christ will also deny him before our Father.

    Very simply put for each one of us to see,

    For to get to Heaven we must pay the fee;

    We must acknowledge and commit to Christ,

    Professing to others why He was sacrificed.

    Proclaiming and spreading the Gospel seed,

    Reaching out to others on warnings to heed;

    Along with myself I could never even deny,

    My firm belief in Christ I do have an ally.

    But those who rather feel that God is dead,

    Leading a life of gloom and doom instead;

    They are filled with the everyday stress,

    Rather than feeling rewards that God bless.

    Before you here I stand as a Spirit Warrior,

    A messenger for Christ being His courier;

    In sticking up for Him in this life I know,

    He’ll return the favor when its time to go.

    January 7

    Curse of Soap Operas

    I Timothy 1:4 & 5

    Neither give heed to soap operas or fables,

    That minister’s gossip that merely rambles;

    Rather than the godly edifying inspiration,

    Being in faith for your own transfiguration.

    The end results is love from a pure heart,

    Of a good conscience and faith to impart.

    We get wrapped up within our daily lives,

    It seems as though the bad stuff survives.

    You know what I mean of who did what,

    All of the dirty details of who got shot;

    And the defendant feels falsely accused,

    For reasons as a child they were abused.

    Then to decide to plea temporary insanity,

    For meeting their wife for some infidelity;

    We always desire to think of the worse,

    And do not realize that it is Satan’s curse.

    For the bad news leaves our heart impure,

    And causes our salvation become obscure;

    So let God show you all for you to desire,

    And words from His Scriptures to inspire.

    Follow the Shepherd

    John 10:25-28

    Jesus had done works in His Father’s name,

    But many believe not for what to His claim;

    Believing not for they are not His sheep,

    For His sheep hears His voice for to keep.

    He knows them and Him they shall follow,

    Through the field and through the meadow;

    He gives them eternal life never to perish,

    No one to snatch them each one to cherish.

    Christ is their shepherd those who believe,

    Eternal life is also theirs for to receive;

    Not following Christ, knows not His voice,

    Non-believers never have cause to rejoice.

    To believe in Christ is to also understand,

    Every time that you are given a command;

    For the voice you follow you feel secure,

    Because everything is righteous and pure.

    Following Him you know never led astray,

    For Christ lead you to Heaven someday;

    It’s not too late for you to join His flock,

    Repent and believe prior to the gates lock.

    January 9

    Freeing from the Bondage

    Isaiah 61:1 & 2

    The Holy Spirit of our Lord came upon me,

    Anointing to preach tidings of being free;

    He sent me to bind up the sad and meek.

    Proclaiming liberty to all those who seek.

    Opening of the prison to whoever bound,

    Freeing the bonds with a joyous sound;

    For the day of vengeance is coming soon,

    And God will not be singing a cheery tune.

    God wanted me in spreading good cheers,

    And for chasing away all of your fears;

    So the Holy Spirit came down in a hurry,

    Before God comes to be judge and jury.

    Proclaiming you free from bonds of sin,

    As well as be able for to cleanse within;

    Our hearts are burdened with a weight,

    Of the sin from our lust that we infatuate.

    For these poetic sounds break the chains,

    Of your bondage to sin that it restrains;

    And when God comes for His retribution,

    It will not be me paying the restitution.

    January 10

    Fruit of the Disciple

    John 15:7-9

    If you abide in Christ and His Words in you,

    Ask for whatever and desires shall accrue;

    God to be glorified so you bear much fruit,

    Be Disciples of Christ and to pay tribute.

    Even as God loved Christ, He loved you,

    Abide in His love and to His word be true.

    As being one in Christ we keep His Word,

    Now why should it be to some so absurd.

    If we expect a reward we must profess,

    Also living by the Word and to confess;

    Our beliefs must be known in our heart,

    Ensuring others are advised as to impart.

    Ask for your needs and you shall receive,

    But you have to prove that you believe;

    Showing to God really just how sincere,

    Worship Him with your heart and fear.

    Confess your heart and give Him love,

    Returning favor of blessings from above;

    You will bear much fruit all you desire,

    There will be a new you to transpire.

    January 11

    Gracious Hand of God

    II Chronicles 31:20 & 21

    Do everything that which is good and right,

    Be truthful in the Lord grace in His sight;

    In reverent to the service of God’s church,

    Be dutiful to His Law asking as you search.

    All effort that you put be of all your heart,

    And God will ensure success all you start.

    It is really quite easy to do the right thing;

    You know all the blessings that will bring.

    Put your heart and soul into your quest,

    With God beside you assured of your best;

    Treating others as for you to be the same,

    Never bringing onto them guilt or shame.

    Be totally honest to God and all you meet,

    Even greet any strangers along the street;

    Not only attend church rather go to serve,

    God will reward for duty that you deserve.

    Be mindful to God and His Law has taught,

    Asking God in prayer for answers sought;

    God has very gracious hands for to lend,

    Respect Him and He will be your friend.

    January 12

    Heeding the Word

    Hebrews 2:1 & 2

    We must seriously heed to what we heard,

    So we do not drift away from God’s Word;

    If the Word spoken by angels is steadfast,

    Of all of the transgressions to be forecast.

    And disobedience gone chaotically rampant,

    Then a future shall be ruled by the serpent.

    Maybe for some think of the Bible as a joke.

    It is unfortunate for them that never awoke.

    All the Scriptures just befall to be true,

    God has presented His warnings all for you;

    Think about life on earth how we live today,

    I doubt of it as a utopia God would convey.

    Uncontrollable sex and crime of every sin,

    Every form of lust has been stuffed within;

    A lack of faith has us think in disbelief,

    With no where to turn for any stress relief.

    And so we find ourselves to be depress,

    Since we forgot how to ask God to bless;

    Pray to God asking to cleanse the impure,

    In being a prime candidate for Satan’s lure.

    January 13

    Human Nature

    1 Timothy 4:12-16

    Let no one ever scorn or mock your youth,

    Be an example of the Word and the truth;

    Exemplify in life, faith, purity, and love,

    Just how we receive blessings from above.

    Heed to the reading in teaching of the Word,

    Never neglect the gift God gave as an award;

    Be diligent in this allowing it to abide,

    Then proclaim to the world of gifts inside.

    Take heed of the Word and that is taught,

    Keep living by them as you ought.

    The Bible is a Book of Law but also a guide,

    Showing us how to live and should abide.

    You would think that it is outdated and old,

    Actually all the info is still good as gold;

    Human nature has not changed all the years,

    Deep inside in having all the same fears.

    Maybe a little more high-tech in our lives,

    But still have temptations that lust drives;

    Remember that we still have the same God,

    Who is there to help knowing we are flawed.

    January 14

    In the Service of Our Lord

    Proverbs 3:7-9

    Show no wisdom as to be in your own eyes,

    Fear the Lord and trust Him for He is wise;

    Depart from evil and your earthly habits,

    Showing your respect to Heavenly spirits.

    A cure to your flesh and renew your bone,

    Asking for forgiveness and God to atone;

    Honor the Lord God with your presence,

    Along with the first fruits of abundance.

    There is no greater than God Almighty,

    Able to cure any illness 100% guarantee,

    He is truly knowledgeable in all aspects,

    Full understanding of all and its affects.

    He can all make your dreams come true,

    In order to do that He is waiting on you;

    Stop living a life filled of a sinful style,

    Repent to the Lord admit to being liable.

    Show Him the respect and honor merited,

    Assuring of your reward to be inherited;

    A good provider with the power to bless,

    Ensuring all that you do a great success.

    January 15

    Judgment on Life

    Matthew 16:25-28

    Whoever would save his life shall loose it,

    Because of their sins they have never remit;

    Whosoever looses his life for Christ’s sake,

    Shall find it as well to the truth awake.

    What shall a man profit with all the gain,

    In forfeiting his life going down the drain;

    What will man give for his life in exchange,

    Having the sins of lust and greed estrange?

    Christ shall come in glory with His angels,

    judging all while riding on wings of eagles.

    In the second coming of Christ as we know,

    It’ll not be as subtle as the first or slow.

    Expect a fast and furious pace to proceed,

    Judging everyone according to their deeds;

    Maybe some feel all of this is a fairy tale,

    But I am saying that the facts will prevail.

    In seeing Christ coming out of the cloud,

    Then you will know who God had endowed;

    Having the power and authority over all,

    Judgment on their eternal fate shall befall.

    January 16

    Just Visiting

    Matthew 6:19-21

    Lay not up for yourself wealth from earth,

    As you accumulate since the time of birth;

    That can deteriorate or someone to steal,

    Because of all the greed that they do feel.

    Lay up for yourself treasures up in Heaven,

    That will never crumble or ever be stolen;

    For no matter where your treasure is kept,

    There is where your heart will also accept.

    Home is a place where your heart resides,

    A place where you feel as the love abides;

    A location where your treasure is stored,

    Somewhere that you feel of being secured.

    Home is where you are hanging your hat,

    And also knowing where everything is at;

    It is where with family time you can share,

    Talking to our Brother and Father in prayer.

    As being Christian, earth is not that home,

    For we are just nomads that merely roam;

    For we are only visiting this earthly isle,

    Until our Father calls us home in awhile.

    January 17

    Leaving the Light On

    John 3:17-21

    For God sent not His Son for to judge here,

    Rather to be saved and not to induce fear;

    He that believes in Him shall not be judged,

    Non-believers have a life that is smudged.

    Disbelief on the only begotten Son of God,

    In saving the sinners who are badly flawed;

    With the judgment that the light has come,

    With a choice for evil darkness for some.

    And others can choose the truth and light,

    Being looked upon with favor as a delight;

    All that does evil the darkness they love,

    Hating the light and the source thereof.

    He that loves the light let this decree,

    Molded by God for in the truth to see;

    Those who love the light love the Lord,

    For they know why blood was poured.

    While others, who are still in disbelief,

    Are always filled with sorrow and grief;

    With no real understanding of eternal life,

    Blinded by darkness in not ending strife,

    January 18

    Morning Praise

    Psalm 5:3 & 4

    In the morning God shall hear my voice,

    For I’ll lift it up in praise as I rejoice;

    In maintaining vigilance as I will observe,

    For the coming of my Lord that I serve.

    My God has no pleasure into wickedness,

    In the presence of God no evil cursedness;

    Oh, what a feeling for starting out the day,

    Every morning with a time for us to pray.

    Thanking God for a great night of rest,

    And along with everything He has blest;

    A time to reflect on God what He done,

    Never once has He forsaken or abandon.

    A peace and comfort that comes about,

    That is within us and shedding no doubt;

    His Holy Spirit ignites the internal flame,

    It is why we are eager to praise His name.

    All day long we feel so safe and secure,

    Knowing our Lord is guarding the door;

    Enlightening me with great possibilities,

    That Satan will not hamper any abilities.

    January 19

    Paying Attention

    Jeremiah 31:16 & 17

    Refrain from the weeping in tearful eyes,

    For your work God will reward in replies;

    They shall come again from enemy land,

    Of attempting subversion with their hand.

    But in the latter end there is hope for you,

    When your children come home to renew.

    We are living in troubled times these days,

    War and terror spreading in so many ways.

    Even with living a clean life and hard work,

    You sense an increase of the dangers lurk;

    Trouble always mounts with all the fears,

    Doubt about the future as darkness nears.

    Anxiety heats up inside starting to burn,

    You just do not know which way to turn;

    It appears you forgot merely how to pray,

    And allow God to take your burdens away.

    He knows that you are working very hard,

    And really wants to give you a just reward;

    He will give comfort but you have to listen,

    For He is telling you to just pay attention.

    January 20

    Practice What You Preach

    Philippians 4:8 & 9

    Whatsoever is true, whatsoever is noble,

    Whatever is right, whatever is admirable;

    Whatever is lovely, whatever is
