About this ebook

Having been in the food service industry since my teens, owning a restaurant and upscale catering service, Ive created and collected many wonderful recipes. My experiences ran the gamut from creating menus for a romantic dinner for two to a spring brunch adorned with tulips, to a Christmas cocktail party for 500 at an estate overlooking Biscayne Bay. We enjoyed enchanting yacht christenings, weddings, and many more special occassions that required food, service and cocktails. Every event was a unique experience. Fitting together seamlessly and matching the food to both the occasion and the host was always a challenge. What I have assembled here are easy to make recipes that dont require extensive, exotic ingredients. Have fun!

Awaken the senses! Get the nose, tongue, eyes and ears aroused. If you want to be intimate, create the ambiance. Candles, linen, roses. Do you want to use food as an aphrodisiac? Use dark chocolate paired with a robust red wine. If you want to be hot & spicy, use cayenne and chilies. If you want to be silky and sexy, express it with your sauces. Having 30 friends enjoy an afternoon barbeque? Crank up the music and the grill! Prefer a more staid cocktail party? Doily lined platters, servers donning white gloves and black bowties, soft classical music wafting throughout the room sets that stage.

BOOK SUMMARY

Were told that FOOD IS LOVE. I say if that is true then COOKING IS FOREPLAY. Making something special for the one you love should be done with care, consideration, sensuality and tenderness. Aphrodisiacs? Cocktails, spices, a rare steak, wine, chocolate, candles, fragrances and music create the ambiance. There need not be a reason. Conceive the menu, prepare the recipes, set the mood and take delight in your affair! The more you put into it, the better it will be.

THE MORNING AFTER BREAKFAST IN BED

Always be prepared … if you are planning on having that SPECIAL someone stay over, prepare for it properly!

    The Menu

Hot & Spicy Bloody Mary (or Shannon, Alice, Sam, Lou … whom ever!)

    Breakfast in Bed Casserole

    Sexy Sticky Buns

    Big Banana Bread

    She’s so Fresh Fruit Salad

    Coffee

    Shop

The Bloody Mary mix should be plentiful. Perhaps you would like the pepper flavored vodka and make sure that you have some celery, cherry tomatoes and lemons (for a fresh squeeze!).

    Prepare

Make the casserole the night before so that all you have to do is turn on the oven and pop it in!

    That morning

Slide out of bed quietly. Turn on the oven and start the casserole. Brush your teeth and hair. Cut the fruit and make the coffee. Skewer the vegetables for the Bloody Mary’s. Set the tray and make it look nice … fresh flowers, linen napkins always makes a lasting memory (just in case the evening wasn’t memorable!). Awaken her with a soft kiss and the fragrances of cinnamon and coffee.

    Amore!

    How to ask THE question

You have been dating for 2 years now and it’s time that someone makes a move. One question is, will it go any further? Another one may be where do we want to be next year? so much to think about. So, make a couple of poignant, passionate red Pomegranate Martinis, and then another. This may not build courage but will make it easier to get the words out.

    The Menu

    Pomegranate Martinis

Moist & Warm Gorgonzola Dip with Garlic & Bacon

Robust Rib Eye Steaks with Arugula

Orgasmic Orange and Red Onion with Red Pepper Salad

Perky Peach Raspberry & Blueberry Pie

    Champagne

    Shop

Prime meat is definitely called for! The vegetables and fruit need to be fresh and the champagne should be of good quality (champagne is from FRANCE!). lots of candles.

    That morning

Prepare the pie. While it is baking, make the marinade for the beef and chop up the red onion. Cut the orange into thick slices and keep refrigerated in an airtight container. Mix up the gorgonzola dip and have it ready to warm.

    Before she arrives

Light the candles, adjust the music, start the oven for the dip. Ice the martini glasses.

    Her arrival

Start with those great, cold cocktails to get you both relaxed. Accompany them with the warm dip and chips. You will have mouth watering aromas coming from the kitchen, soft music, candlelight, and hearts racing. Serve dinner and finish up with the pie and champagne. Remember the ring goes in the champagne NOT the pie.

    A Classic 3 way!

You’ve thought about this for years. Something to spark up what has become a routine relationship? Now after months of talking about this with the therapist, this may be the turning point. Be careful!

    The Menu

A Comfortable Slow Screw up against the Wall

Divers down on Endive with Citrus

    He’s a Russian Beef Strokin’off

    Tri Colored Mixed Roasted Peppers

Lets all get Layered Together Salad

    Cream in Your Jeans Cake

    Kamikazes

This type of dinner should be more casual. Nice place setting, but do not worry about the boy/girl/boy/girl arrangement at the table (or wherever) …it will not work here!

    Shop

The day before, shop for all your ingredients and clean the house. Fresh sheets are necessary but a lot of food is not. You want everything to be tasty and sensual but not abundant. Prepare the entrée, roast the peppers and layer the salad. Bake the cake.

    That evening

The boy/girl/boy arrangement is not important tonight. Make strong cocktails and keep the booze flowing. Enjoy dinner and light conversation. Finish with dessert and Kamikazes on the sofa. Let’s see where it goes from here!

    ANGEL or DEVIL?

How many of us know a twin?

I have met several and theirs is always a special story. They may be identical but subtle differences are always there. Personalities definitely differ. Could they be taking advantage of you and you not know it? Could they have switched places with one another?

Perhaps only they know for sure!

    The Menu

    Double MANhattans

    Spasmodic Salmon Mousse

Oh What a Mixed up Seafood over Pasta

Cucumbers & Red Onions in Sour Cream

    ADicktive Chocolate Cake

    Zinfandel

    Shop

Fresh shell fish is a natural aphrodisiac in my book! If you can get some fresh pasta for this dish, even better. Produce is always abundant year round. Get a robust Zinfandel to accompany dinner tonight.

    That morning

Bake the cake. Clean the clams, mussels and shrimp. The Salmon Mousse is simple to prepare and needs to be served cold. Get the cucumbers and onions soaking in salt water and prepare the sour cream
