This book epitomizes Miriam’s art of painting word-pictures that tug at one’s heart strings. It chronicles the author’s uncanny and varied expressions of strong emotion about life and living. The reader is not only made more aware of life’s intricacies but is also a witness to the author’s evolution of thoughts and experiences in poetic form.

The brevity of her poetry is true to the book’s title Lyrical Potpourri. Irrespective of her poetic style; (rictameter, free verse, haiku, senryu, nonet, acrostics etc) her message is communicated effectively. The reader is brought full circle to life’s potpourri—an experience to behold.

Pungency rises in a deliberate stream;

tickling sleeping nostrils,

as the fire of God’s love

burns within the soul.

The intricate mix of experiences,

ensconced in life-lessons,
