Taiese L. Nevels

Taiese L. Nevels was born in Cleveland, Ohio. Where her early childhood was framed by the bleak reality of inner city living. After encountering a close brush with death at the age 13, Taiese moved to Houston, Texas with her aunt looking for a fresh start. Nevels was able to see her aunt’s success through hard work in Corporate America and it motivated her to go beyond anything she had ever known. Through sheer determination, Nevels graduated in 2005 from the University of Cincinnati all the while working 3 jobs and supporting her younger sister with very little help from her parents. In December 2015, Taiese earned a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Prairie View A&M University. As of 2016, she continued her 13+ year career in Lean Six Sigma as Senior Manager for an Architectural Structure company in Houston. The adversity Nevels has experienced and the triumph she has enjoyed in the face of her trials led her to a deeper relationship with God. It is that relationship that allowed her to overcome the pain of her past and filled with her with a longing to use her natural abilities to pass on to others what God has shared with her. Nevels has been reading & writing since the tender age of 4 years old, writing her first poem entitled “The Stoplight.” She is a poet by nature and a lover of artistic expressions ranging from literary to fine arts. Her portfolio spans from entrepreneurship, writing, acting, educating, mentoring, inspiring, empowering and public speaking. Her love for God radiates through her presence and smile. Her vision is to inspire and empower people to move into their God ordained destiny and her mission is to do it through media and entertainment, such as, print, radio, television, e-media and social networking coupled with a spirit of inspirational entrepreneurship.

She forced me to sit back and to look at life from the perspective of a young woman trying to navigate life.
