    the right job

    Practical suggestions for today’s society

Spend a little time brushing up on job hunting

    techniques, job performance, and

    making the most out of

    what you know and

    can learn.

In loving memory of D’Jara D. Jones, my son,

who worked many hours on the first draft of this book.

I would like to dedicate this book to the memory

of my father, my mother, and my grandmother.

I would also like to remember Reverend L. Nat, Reverend

Lavelle Lemonier, and Mrs. Bernice Gradney.

Without their assistance, this book would not have

    been written.

I also would like to thank Doris Bonton and Alma Lafleur,

who were always willing to listen to my storytelling.

    (1) The topic of this book is Be a Self-Starter: Don’t be a Cranking Machine. We are living in a world today that most people need someone or something to give them a real reason to be productive. All of us have been given a mind, and for us not to use that mind and cultivate it is to be like a mule. When a mule dies, we put on its grave marker, Here lies the remains of a good eater, one who lived good, died good, and sometimes worked good. The same can be said of a person that never cultivated his mind. Our mind is the only tool that we have to open and to discover new horizons. Our minds live inside our body. Our body is the only body that we have to live in, so we cannot destroy it.

    (2) This little book is needed in the marketplace to teach people that they can do almost anything they want to do if they set goals and put their minds to work for them.

    (3) I have written this book with the purpose in mind that it will be easy to read and to understand. This book is intended to reach young people that need to look at life with a real positive attitude. The right attitude will usually help you make the right choices in life—choices that will help you live productive lives.

This book is most definitely needed in the workplace so employers and employees can get along with very little difficulty and be productive.
