Mimi Soes grew up during World War II and immigrated to the United States with her husband (who had escaped from behind the Iron Curtain.) Her interest in education dates back to as far as she can remember and, as well as her own needs, led to the pioneering especially the early childhood field in Los Angeles, California. She currently resides in Toluca Lake, part of North Hollywood California.
