I would like to start by saying thank you to Dr. Lester and Sharon Roche, who have inspired me greatly in my walk with God. There teaching is to believe in all things, hope in all things, and endure all things. We must be able to forgive others, and things only come by fasting and praying.

    Thank You, Pastor

I would like to give special thanks to Shirley Plouche, who stopped at nothing until they won me over to Christ. Without the Lord on my side, where would I be?

    Thank you, Ms. Plouche

My sister, Linda Morris, also stopped at nothing until I came to Christ, and has been with me throughout my walk with God. When my faith was challenged daily, she was always there for me with a word from the Lord. She shares the word of God with anyone that will listen. Linda Morris is a mighty woman of God.

    Love you, Sis.

I would like to honor my mother Vivian Hamilton, to whom I love dearly. There is nothing I wouldn’t do for my mother. She has been the cornerstone for her children. She has always been there for us when we were in need. She loves serving others, and does it all in the name of Jesus, whom she loves with all her heart and soul.

    Love you, Mom.

I would like to acknowledge, the following people in no particular order. You all have been there for me, encouraged me, and always gave Godly advice.

My daughters, Nyisha Hamilton and Shena Moore, when it is time for a mother-daughter conversation they would come over together to double-team me. They always let me know how they felt about certain situations in my life. They would tell me what was on their minds and in their hearts. I would listen to them as they voiced their opinion, and afterwards I would voice mine. I would always tell them that the Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear, he is the strength of my life, why should I be afraid. I thank them for their concerns and for their love.

    Love You, My Beautiful Children

Marquise Hamilton, my grandson, has been used by God through vision. I Love You All, God Bless You and Your Family

Be aware of the way you walk, not as unwise but as a wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore; do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

    (Ephesians 5:15-17) (ESV)

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.

    (James 1:5) (ESV)

The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to advice.

    (Proverbs 12:15) (ESV)

    Introduction

This book is about knowing the word of God. There is only one truth, and that is the word of God. A relationship with God is awesome. It is like when you meet that special someone, and after dating for a while you feel this is your soul mate. You ask for her hand in marriage, and when you stand before a minister to say your vows. I felt that God said I, God, take you, Brenda, for my lawful wife, to have and to hold, for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part. Since they are no longer two, but one, let no one split apart what God has joined together. (Matthew 19:6) NLT

When I made a vow to God through his word and when I surrendered and gave my life to God and repented of my sins, I accepted my vows to God. From that point on God was the keeper of my soul.

When you know him and find his will for your life, he will guide you into all truth. In your everyday life there will be signs that say, Danger. Do not enter. Whatever you do take heed to the warning, because ignoring the warning could lead to destruction. When there is advice given take the time to listen because there is always a word from the Lord.

God chose me. He called me out from among them and said, Be ye separated. He has been very patient with me and most forgiving. I have been tried and tested over and over again, and each time I felt God forgave me. He didn’t just forgive me seventy times, but seventy times seven. But there are consequences to pay until you get it right. Your sin will find you out, no matter where you are and what time it is. What’s done in the dark shall come to the light. I found out you cannot play with God because you will get played. My God is real. So when you commit a sin make sure your mind is made up because God takes his vows very seriously.

God’s law is based on divine standards. It requires man to be the moral image of God, and anything less than perfection is sin.

Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness.

    (1 John 3:4)

    All wrongdoing is sin.

    (1 John 5:17)

Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn’t do it, sins.

    (James 4:17)

Sin is not just disobedience to God leading to an evil act or the omission of a good deed. It begins with ‘evil thoughts’ from an ‘evil heart.’ Jesus said, ‘What comes out of a man is what makes him ‘unclean.’ For from within, out of men’s hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly.

    (Mark 7:20-22)

Be merciful to me, O Lord, for I am calling on you constantly. Give me happiness, O Lord, for I give myself to you. O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help. Listen closely to my prayer, O Lord; hear my urgent cry. I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble, and you will answer me.

    (Psalm 86: 3-7)

    Dedicated to

The head of my house, which is my Lord and Savior.

He brought me out of darkness into his marvelous light,

and in my house, we will serve the Lord.

Jesus came so no one would be lost, but would come each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift, of the Holy Spirit.

    (Act 2:38)

    My First Encounter With God

    Chapter 1

MY FIRST VISION AT SEVEN YEARS OLD:

    WHEN AND WHERE IT BEGIN

I was seven turning eight years old when my parents packed up and moved us from a small country town called Montgomery, Texas to Houston, Texas, where my dad’s job was located. He was a construction worker, and my mom worked as a nurse’s assistant. My dad and mom were very young parents and worked a lot, trying to make ends meet. We moved to an apartment complex in a small two-bedroom. This was my first encounter with the unforeseen world, and I began to see in the spirit realm.

My mom had to work the evening shift at the hospital. This left us at home for several hours alone until our dad got home. My dad worked morning shift, but sometimes he wouldn’t make it home until dark. I was taught to lock the door when my parents left home to go to work. I was the oldest of my parents’ children, and had to care for my three siblings. I made sure that they ate, gave them a bath, and got them ready for bed. One night it was late, and I was trying to keep my eyes open while waiting for my dad, but I couldn’t stay up much longer. My siblings were already fast asleep, and I started to drift off into a deep sleep, and suddenly I was awakened by a strange noise. I sat straight up in my bed, and what appeared were several white ghosts. They surrounded me and my siblings. They were moving around in my bedroom. I was astonished and speechless. I couldn’t move. The only thing I could do was pull the cover over my head, hoping they would go away. As I slowly pulled the cover from my head down to my face, I said to myself I must be dreaming. I was so afraid, then suddenly they disappeared through the walls and ceiling of my bedroom and moved about through the apartment. They appeared to be very friendly. I said to myself, Casper the Friendly Ghost came to see me—he was one of my favorite cartoon characters—as I eased the cover from my eyes, peeking out slowly, pulling the cover up and down. I was not afraid anymore as I watched their every
