    Acknowledgements

I am thankful that God blessed me with time to analyze the person I needed to become.

I am also thankful for my family, especially my mother Kathy Lee Hardy, and my older sister, Leslie Y. Gordon. These two women have been my winning support team. There were times they believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself. I am grateful that I have a supportive family to walk with me on this journey. I am especially thankful for my niece, and best friend, Jamisha D. Harris. She always has the right encouraging words to say. She is my #1 fan.

My Daughter Emiyjah Jazzmyn Givens is my driving motivation. She allowed me to grow in so many ways. When Emiyjah was born, I looked at life from a different perspective.

I’m grateful to have my husband Vinson Carter-Vincent in my life. He has given me a lot of material that I needed to proceed to greatness. He is my number one supporter.

I want to give thanks to the ladies at F.C.I Dublin, especially Tepatii and Ms. Wright, for their participation in My Path to Poetry While in Captivity. I also want to give thanks to Jamisha D. Harris for her participation as well.

I am grateful for everyone who played
