One with God: A Spiritual Revelation

ONE WITH GOD

These poems are my revelation of how through spiritual intervention, change and growth overcame my life, as I became One With God. There were those who prayed for me and with me. Through those prayers and my faith I grew in my personal relationship with the Father. I became one with Him through the Holy Spirit and His divine intervention.

As you read these poems, should some circumstance bring back a recollection or you feel that you have been in similar situations, it is my hope that you too will come to agree that He is truly a way maker but mostly that You cant beat Gods giving.

I pray that you will find the inspiration and come to the same conclusion in reading these poems as I felt when I wrote them, and that is Nobody can love me like Jesus for His goodness endureth forever. I present you now with a spiritual revelation of His goodness through poetry.

Roberta M. Heck

Born in Durham, North Carolina, I now live in New Jersey with my husband, Roderick, and son, Ronald. I have four other children through marriage, David, his wife Sundraya, Jeconias, Quintina and Joshua. I also have two beautiful grandsons, Cameron and Cade. I have been writing since childhood. I have won numerous National Awards for my poetry including the Shakespeare Trophy of Excellence, the Editors Choice Award, and the Poetic Excellence Award. My work has been published in newspapers and in many anthologies. I am a member of the New Jersey Poetry Society, the Delaware Valley Poets, and the Roosevelt Arts Project and The Pink Rose Foundation. I have shared my poetry on radio interviews, through readings and book signings, at church programs, Women Retreats, Teas, The New Jersey Foundation of Music and Arts and other functions. My goal is to share the goodness of God through poetry. My favorite verse in the bible is The Lord is my light and my salvation whom shall I fear. God Bless.

INTRODUCTION

These poems are my revelation of how through spiritual intervention, change and growth overcame my life, as I became One With God. There were those who prayed for me and with me. Through those prayers and my faith I grew in my personal relationship with the Father. I became one with Him through the Holy Spirit and His divine intervention.

These are my spiritual revelations as I stand in witness of His love, His greatness and His goodness, that I now share and attest to. For as we grow to be one with God, we will learn that there is none greater than He. The 23 Psalm reads, He maketh me to lie down in green pastures and surely my cup runneth over. For as you become closer to Him, His abundance in blessings overwhelm. As you read these poems, should some circumstance bring back a recollection or you feel that you have been in similar situations, it is my hope that you too will come to agree that He is truly a way maker but mostly that You can’t beat Gods giving.

The Devil will try hard to pull me

This is plain to see

My faith is in God this I know

My Savior has paid my fee

My fee for salvation…

The battle’s not mine to fight

His shield of protection embraces me

Keeping me safe from all devious plights

Oh Satan—I know you’re MIGHTY

Much more stronger than me

But my GOD—He’s ALMIGHTY

He’s my protector—my shield for peace

So Satan now you listen

You get nothing here

In my Almighty GOD do I have Faith

In You I have no fear

God has shown me the way

How to find peace and love too

I will always abide and do His will

As His Word says I should do

I rebuke you Ole’ Satan

You and your dastardly kind

Stay away I say Ole’ Satan
