Robert S. Bonheim

Robert S. Bonheim, a retired Liberty University professor, has taught in the Kinesiology Department while coaching football and wrestling. Periodically he has taught a Wednesday night Bible class at Thomas Road Baptist Church in Lynchburg, Virginia and has spoken at numerous sporting and Bible events. The Bonheims have three children, eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Robert and his wife teach the Bible weekly in two local Senior Citizens homes. They also are founders of Christian Youth Ministries of Hawaii which began in the summer of 1969 and still continues under the direction of a son (Corey) and his wife (Elizabeth). Mr. Bonheim has authored A Man that is Called Jesus, ¬ e Revelator, ¬ e Yearly Sunshine Journal, Man's First from the Bible, Studies in Colossians, and Bob's Writings (Poems). He also produces a 'mail out' bi-monthly newsletter "Rightly Dividing".

Man’s First from the Bible is written to identify those persons,

things, and events as they occur for the first time as recorded

in the ordered offerings of the Scriptures.

The book is solely confined to the Bible and does not necessarily make claims for man’s first in universal history.

God            Man’s first and only God.

Genesis 1:1

Universe            God in the beginning created the heaven and the earth.

Genesis 1:1

Spirit of God            The spirit of God moved upon the waters.

Genesis 1:2

Light            God spoke the light into existence.

Genesis 1:3-4

Day and Night            God called the light day and the darkness night.

Genesis 1:5

Heaven            God created a firmament above and called it heaven.

Genesis 1:6-8

Earth and Seas            God created the dry land and the seas and He called them earth and seas.

Genesis 1:9-10

Growing things            God commanded that the earth would bear growing things.

Genesis 1:11-12

Sign Lights            God put the celestial stars in place for signs.

Calendar            God established season of days and years.

Sun and Moon            God created them, two great lights.

Living Creatures            God created all the living creatures.

Human Souls            God created man in His own image . . . male and female . . . Adam from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life.

Dominion            God mandates that man have dominion over all the earth and its living things.

Mist            The mist came up from the earth and watered the ground.

Genesis 2:6

Garden            God planted Eden and grew trees for beauty and food

Genesis 2:8-9

Tree of Life            God grew a tree in the midst of Eden and called it the tree of life.

Genesis 2:9

Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil  God also planted in Eden a tree He called the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Genesis 2:9

River            A river flowed out of Eden to water the ground.

Genesis 2:10-15

Gold and Precious Stones  The land of Havilah, where the river flows, is a land of gold and precious stones.
