About this ebook

“Passages of a Clouded Mind” is my first published book. It is made up of all the poetry and creative passages that had been written from my later teenage years. Since writing was the way I communicated how I felt, I made it into a journal log form with all my thoughts and emotions to pass on to others. Upon publishing this book, I had hoped others could relate and appreciate an
honest look at life and its dealings in the real world.

    Remembrance Day

    missing image file

November 11th is a special day

For we remember the lives that once had said

Yes. Yes. I will fight. I’ll save in day, and kill in night

Stop this torture, stop it now

For I cannot bare, this scorching stare

I lye in my grave and think all night

Why oh why, did I have to fight

Then I remember what I had said

I’ll fight for love, and fight for peace

So I prayed in my head, for the other soldiers

    Do not stop, only defeat

For love is strong, and love will win

Keep it with you, keep it tight

Never let go, for love is life

    Christmas Morning

    missing image file

Anticipation rises, this time once a year,

Even the drunks, while holding their beer.

The children’s laughter, spreads the cheer,

That Santa is coming, with his deer.

The quiet floorboards, creak with ease,

While the parents see, their child’s please.

The milk, the cookies, have all been eaten,

Actually Santa saves them, for those who’ve been beaten.

The tree all green, decorated by bulbs and lights,

Shining through, the quiet, whispering nights.

Presents fill, the hard, cold, wooden floor,

Then there’s a knock, echoing from the door.

The door swings open, and there but singers,

With mouths wide open, they’re Christmas bringers.

The money’s gone, all spent on gifts,

For the children, while their spirit’s lifts.
