About this ebook
Bertrand Gabriel Fraser
Bertrand Gabriel Fraser was born in Trinidad, the second of three children. After migrating to New York, he fell in love with the city and its interesting events. But one of the places he often frequented to escape the bustling city was the New York Library. He became interested in writing and research as books became his constant companion. His wife, also an avid reader and a very articulate woman, became the subject of many of his early writings. But the city itself was so full of life and vigor. It became evident that he had to write about some of the things that stood out. Raising children in the city makes one aware of the surrounding neighborhood, its values, and the dangers that lurk occasionally, which is often the case in big cities. But being alert is one of the attributes of a good writer. So he became even more aware of the beautiful things that existed. Nature Always Has Its Way is a collection of some of his experiences in various places.

When It Snows
As the awesome intelligence of the architect and designer of this world continues to be evident and as disasters strike repeatedly all over the universe, I am constantly reminded that nature always has its way.
Can we appease the hurricane, flood, or snow?
Can we make it rain? Can we stop the rain from falling? Impossible! But we can listen to the wind as it whistles, whispers, and wail with agony! Just look up at the stars at night. Observe the verdant hills and mountain ranges. Catch the setting sun and admire the colors of the sunset. Yes! This is an amazing world.
Eight years ago, as I contemplated writing this book, it took some time to give it a title. But as I continued writing and developing more material each day, there seemed to be a pattern. Nature played a specific role in almost everything I mentioned. Because I was always interested in nature and the elements, I’ve realized along the years that they are absolutely formidable. Yes! Nature always has its way.
Although some of my works had been published in an anthology, this is the first time that I am publishing a book of solely my works. These are my thoughts. The way I feel about many things. Some are humorous, sad, and thought provoking, or some just convey my vision of the world.
I’d like to thank my parents for their guidance and the foundation that they gave me. To my wife, your humor and support is always appreciated. Sincere thanks to my children for their constant growth and intellectual fortitude. Yes! Family holds the key to survival in a world that is in constant peril. A chain has many links, each link is important for durability.
Above all, many thanks to the divine inspiration of my God, Who has continued to bless me sufficiently throughout my life. I cannot praise Him enough. Peace and love to everyone and may the spirit of God find a place in your heart.
