Close to 77 people at least have heard some of my life’s story and encouraged me to write about it. Some have actually begged me to write about it. Without that encouragement and the prompting of the Holy Spirit I would never have attempted to try this endeavor. Thanks to all those people and thanks to the Holy Spirit for giving me the ability to write this book.

I do not know much about computers and printers so I learned as I typed. Thank you Brian for giving me free Microsoft Word so that my computer could type this book out. I have never met Brian from Canada. I do know that he is a fellow Christian.

The most important person I dedicate this book to is of course my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Without Him I would not even be alive to write this story. I hope this book is a mighty testimony for Him.

Other important people are: first my mentor Daniel Roberts who has put up with me for a long frustrating 16 years. He and his wife Michelle have helped me so much it is just amazing. Sometimes I would call them five times a day for the most mundane things. I love them so much. Daniel is the father I never had. They are true servants of God.

Another person I about drove crazy with questions about how to write a book is my dear friend and published author Nancy. She has been a friend for 33 years. She is probably the most amazing woman I know next to my mom. I write about these two people in my book. They are much older than me and are true friends in this rather cold world.

One more person I would like to thank is my dog Timothy. He was named from out of the Bible. When I hurt so much from sitting at the computer and massagers and Vicodins would not even help, Timothy would like my legs and back to help ease the pain. He would never complain if I was a bit late in feeding him or letting him out. He is truly another grand gift from God. Of all my animals I love him the most.

I would like to thank all of you who take the time to read my book and I pray that the glory of Jesus touches you richly as He has done for me.

And last I pray that my son will somehow read this book and understand me better and forgive me for all the hurt I have caused him.

You might wonder if you made the right choice.

What’s come out through my voice.

PREFACE

It’s hard to believe this is really happening, though I know that it is the beginning of my book. It seems as if everyone who hears just a bit of my life’s story urges me to write it. To write about the ups and downs, the good, the bad, and especially the very good and the very bad. They have to glue themselves to my every word. Parts of this book are SHOCKING to say the least. It makes you wonder if this is really a non fiction story and not some made up tangled fiction book. The names in this book have been changed for legal reasons. You will just have to use your imagination as to what names you choose to use. This story really happened. It really happened to me. If you are not going to finish this book, do NOT start reading it. It has a lot of graphic material throughout the book. There are 34 poems written from 1966 to 1982 that I just put aside for all these years. It is amazing that through all these years they ALL came true and fit within the covers of this book. Some were just written.

I have a very high I.Q. but I did not know what to name this book until I was finished with it. I realized that all my life I was longing for something but I didn’t know what. It is my life’s story that ends up a testimony for the Lord. A lot of people go through their early childhood abused but I carried it to the extreme!

The picture on the back of this book was taken about 5 months ago and I have had no cosmetic surgery at all and I do not wear contacts.

If you or anyone you know has or has had experiences even close to mine, this book should give you hope for yours or their life. This book heralds miracles that most people have never even heard about. If the Lord could work these miracles for me He can certainly do miracles for you.

I came out of New Age witchcraft into the sunshine and glory of the Lord. I never ever wanted to be a Christian and went to extremes to avoid anyone that was one. Thank God He never let up on me! Thank God people prayed for me!

I know now what I was longing for was love, like so many others in this world. But bars and even A.A. meetings etc. were not the places to be looking. Even some so called Christian churches are not either.

I was the woman at the well in the Bible literally, when I got saved. Each day I thank the Lord that I got saved. I am definitely hooked on Jesus.

Not to be negative, but if you or anyone you know may be considering suicide please take the time to read this book or pass it on.

This book was written for God, for myself, and fore mostly for You. If you want to know God, or if you think you know God or want to know him better or if you are desperate to find some meaning to life, then I think this book will benefit you immensely.

I feel as if I am on the outside viewing this incredible human being. It WILL amaze you. I know it amazes me. Sometimes I think could all this have happened to me? Is it really true? Yes, again I say it is true. I lived this story, and though I am in almost unbearable pain as I sit at this machine that types, I feel that I must tell this story of my life. I am no longer the promiscuous co-dependent searching for love in all the wrong places. This is my story of how I got to be (though I am no perfect Christian) a much better person. The ultimate goal is a better, more enlightened me, and greater still, a better, more enlightened you! I hope that through this book God will immensely bless you and that your life will be greatly enhanced. I am here to tell you that the Lord truly loves YOU!!

A BETTER LIFE

All things have their ups and downs.

They have their smiles, they have their frowns.

One day you will want it over.

Another day you’ll want to go beneath the covers.

I have been through so many things;

Some make me cry. Some make me sing.

My childhood was a terrible mess ;

But was it really? Or just a test.

Actually I think life is full of surprises.

It’s just your way of surmising.

Would you like to trade places?

My life for yours, with my disgraces?

We often think that ours is the worst;

Then we see someone else’s bomb that bursts.

Oh for Heaven’s sakes, we say.

What more could go wrong in this day?

We get so lonely we reach for anyone.

Then we end up buried under a garbage ton.

We try to read all kinds of books;

That supposedly will teach us how to change our looks.

If I was just much better looking,

Surely someone would find me cooking.

We speak in intellectual voices;

Trying to get on good looking people’s choices.

We search and seek and just plain hunt.

And try so many eye catching stunts.

Some of us find a life time mate

To help ease our lonely searching state.

Some make it, some do not.

Some of us feel we just turn to rot.
