The Wrath of God - John M. Schnarrs

The Wrath of God, Because of Disobedience to His Laws

    Christ will overthrow Evil Rulers

    1. Dan. 2:28 But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days

    2. Dan. 2:31 Thou, O king sawest, and behold a great image. This great image, whose brightness was excellent, stood before thee: and the form thereof was terrible.

    32. This image’s head was of fine gold, his breast and his arms of silver, his belly and his thighs of brass.

    33. His legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part of clay.

    34. Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces.

    35. Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshing-floors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.

    36. This is the dream; and we will tell the interpretation thereof before the king.

    37. Thou, O king, art a king of kings: for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory.

    38. And wheresoever the children of men dwell the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven hath he given into thine hand, and hath made thee ruler over them all Thou art this head of gold.

    39. And after thee shall arise another kingdom inferior to thee, and another third kingdom of brass which shall bear rule over all the earth.

    40. And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potter’s clay and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided: but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay.

42 And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken.

    44. And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.

    3. Acts 4:10 - Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead even by Him doth this man stand here before you whole.

    11. This is the stone which was set at naught of you builders, which is become the head of the corner

Dan. 2:34 Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces.

    4. Rev. 17:12-14 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast

    13. These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.

    14. These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for He is Lord of Lords, and King of Kings: and they that are with him are called and chosen, and faithful.

    5. Rev. 19:11 And I saw heaven opened and behold a white horse; and He that sat upon Him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

    16. And He hath on His vesture and on His thigh a name written, King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.

Rev. 17:14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for He is Lord of lords, and Kings of kings: and they that are with Him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

John 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

    6. Rev. 19:15 And out of His mouth goeth a sharp sword that with it He should smite the nations: and He shall rule them with a rod of iron and He treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of almighty God.

    17. And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven. Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God.

    18. That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains and the flesh of mighty men and the flesh of horses and of them that sit on them and the flesh of all men both free and bond, both small and great.

Comment The phrase flesh of all men found in Rev. 19:18 does not refer to all people on earth, but to all who are in the armies gathered against Jerusalem. Compare with Zechariah 14:12-15

    12. And this shall be the plague wherewith the Lord will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.

13 And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the Lord shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbor

    14. And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold and silver, and apparel, in great abundance.

    15. And so shall be the plague of the horse, of the mule, of the camel and of the ass, and of all the beasts that shall be in these tents, as this plague.

    7. Revelation 11:15-19

    15. And the seventh angel sounded: and there were great voices in heaven saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ; and He shall reign forever & ever.

    16. And the four and twenty elders which sat before God on their seats fell upon their faces, and worshipped God.

    17. Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and has reigned.

    18. And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth,

    19. And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake and great hail.

    Revelation 8:6

And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.

    8. I Thessalonians 4:16

    16. For the Lord himself shall decend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: I Corinthians 15:52

    52. In a moment in the twinkling of an eye at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

    * Comment: There are no more trumpets (7) blown after Rev. 11:15 and the kingdoms of this world becomes the kingdoms of Christ at the last trump verse 15.

    9. Revelations 11:18

And the nations were angry and thy wrath is come and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

    Zephaniah 1:15

15 That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation a day of darkness and gloom a day of clouds and thick darkness.

16 A day of the trumpet and alarm against the fenced cities and against the high towers. Comment The Day of the Lord includes the Blowing of all seven trumps, six of which are blown in a period of months immediately preceding Christ’s return.

    10. Isaiah 13:6 Howl ye: for the day of the Lord is at hand; It shall come as a destruction from the almighty.

Ezekiel 7:19 They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the Lord: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumbling block of their iniquity.

Isaiah 34:8 For it is the day of the Lord’s vengeance, and the year of recompenses for the controversy of Zion.

11 Revelation 11:18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets and to the Saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

Matthew 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

12 Revelation 11:19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven and there was seen in His temple the ark of His Testament: and there were lightnings and voices and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.

Comment: Above all God Demands obedience.

Deuteronomy 8:11 Beware that thou forget not the Lord thy God, in not keeping His Commandments, and His judgements, and His Statutes, which I command thee this day. In Revelation 11:19 God pictures the ark of the Testament. It contained II Chronicles 5:10 There was nothing in the ark save the two tables which Moses put therein at Horeb, when the Lord made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of Egypt. Deuteronomy 10:4 And He wrote on the tables, according to the first writing, the Ten Commandments, which the Lord spoke unto you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly: and the Lord gave them unto me. The World today dont keep God’s Commandments.

Revelation 11:18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great: and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

Exodus 20:13 Thou shalt not kill.

Comment: We therefore know that Christ will come with wrath to punish the nations because they are violating God’s Laws!

13 I Thessalonians 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Daniel 7:18 But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever; even for ever and ever

Comment: The converted are not to live a life of idleness when they are reborn. They must have an active part with Christ in taking over the kingdoms of this world.

    14. Isaiah 27:12-13 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall beat off from the channel of the river unto the stream of Egypt, and ye shall be gathered one by one, O ye children of Israel

    13. And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the Lord in the holy mount of Jerusalem.

15 If they worship God - come out of this Babylonish world in which they will have been scattered - will they escape His future plagues?

Revelation 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye received not her plagues.

Wrath To Fall on Lawless World

1 The world is rebellious. Even after Christ is present in person on this earth, the nations will not accept Him. God will Force the Acceptance of Christ and His Government.

Revelations 16:1 And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.

2 The vials of the wrath of God will fall upon the earth which seems to indicate the rebellion would be worldwide as the statement says upon the earth. And not stating part of or 1/2 of or section of

3 The seven vials of God’s wrath also called plagues given to the seven angels Revelation 16:2 And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image

    3. And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man; and every living soul died in the sea.

4 And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountain of waters; and they became blood.
