    Even after the physical body has gone

    As a spirit drifting in the late of the evening, or the early morn, or perhaps the noon hour

    Moving place to place, room to room, shadow to shadow, but always there

    Watching, waiting, there protecting, a step or just a sigh away

    A shadow, a beam of light reflection in a mirror or a pool of water

    Late in the night, long after closing time when blues men get together to really play their songs of lost loves and of life.

    There are only two songs that they play with care in the late night air, one tells the story of pain and suffering Parchman Farm blues, played with understanding.

    The other is of a lost love, Blues men all seem to know, she has broke their hearts one and all, she’s our Lady Memphis Annie this gal causes the blues.

    With her smile that could blind you, her shinning red dress, golden high heels only the best, she struts her stuff with that come hither look.
