Life's Critical Moments: Critical Choices in Critical Times
()
About this ebook
The reader will discover that God has a predetermined will for each of our lives for we read in the book of Jeremiah 29:11 " For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." However; the reader will find out that it is through the choices that we make each and every day that ultimately determines if we will reach that expected end that God has planned and prepared for us.

Dedication
This book is dedicated to:
First and foremost My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who gives unto each of us a measure of faith and without whom I would be nothing. To My Father Charles E. Thompson for his strength and patience as I went through the awkward stages of my life, may he forever rest in peace.
To my grandmother Sadie M. Burns and my mother Ethel Blake Atchison who taught me the importance of making Godly choices, carefully choosing my friends and seeking God’s guidance in all that I do.
Finally to my Wife Valerie and our Three children Ashley, Blake and Tierra, thank you for your unconditional Love and support that you each have given me during the last twenty-one years as I travelled around the world while serving in the United States Army.
I love each and every one of you and can never repay you for the treasure of your hearts that you each have given to me.
May God forever bless and keep you
Elvin Blake Thompson
No matter what happens, we always have a choice. Even when it seems that there is no option, there is always something else that can be done. What happens in our lives is the result of decisions that we make.
Unknown Author
"I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to
the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise,
nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all."
Ecclesiastes 9:11 kjv
When we are young, we tend to give little thought to the decisions we make and how they will affect the rest of our lives. A lot of young people take the easy route and make decisions that cost us a lot as we get older. My first attempt at college immediately after high school ended abruptly when I made the decision to party and hang out with friends rather than attend classes, I was first placed on academic probation and later denied being readmitted due to my grades not meeting the required minimum grade point average. Now I could have blamed the school, my professors and even my friends whom I was hanging out with some who were much older than me, but the truth was that it was my choices that ultimately led to my disenrollment from the school.
We are confronted with Life changing decisions, or critical moments every day, and when these moments occur your life will change direction forever. Every day, each of us chooses to do the things that we do, unless we are in a situation where we have been stripped of our freedom and then we
