About this ebook

This book outlines how God ministered to His people in Old Testament times. He spoke to His people through prophets. Jesus was the subject of their ministry. He was the prophecy they uttered, and when He came on this earth, His mission was to fulfil that prophecy. Peter, in one of his books, clearly states that prophets wanted to know more about that prophecy (salvationJesus). They wanted to know when their prophecy would be fulfilled and what the world would be like. This is the time prophets talked about. During Mosess time, a rod was required to part the waters. In Jesus day, one would simply walk on water. In our time, we speak, and before we know it, we are already on the other side of the sea. Is this not amazing? Its my prayer that this book inspires you to know more about God. Stay blessed!

Author

Doris Chipendo

Understanding Prophecy is Doris first book to be published under the Coat of Many Colors (CMC) Productions. She has seen the hand of God upon her life and now sees an opportunity to talk about how God came through for her. She speaks like one of the apostles who says, “What has happened to me has helped to spread the good news.” In this book, she is talking about the relevancy of the subject in today’s time. God is still the same; He never changes.

    Preface

Jesus attached greater importance to the subject of prophecy making it clear that prophecy did not end in Old Testament times. Luke 24:27 states, And beginning from Moses and from all the prophets, He interpreted to them in all the scriptures and things concerning himself.

Jesus referenced two stories about prophets, one involving Elijah and one involving
