Poet Tree

About this ebook
Poet Treesymbolic of the Tree of Life that reflects the stages of life and its cycle.
The theme of Love is the essence from which I have written these verses in my search for the ideal love that exists only in the soulful mind.
It aims for the ultimate urge of self-fulfillment by the giving of oneself.
I define Love as a feeling touching the heart to produce a joyous state that awakens the senses and dulls the mind to a suspended state.
Each poem is a living image of me; they are an extension of my thoughts and feelings that flow freely in my subconscious and find expression in the words I write.
A kaleidoscope of love expressed with powerful emotions that can relate to everyone for love is universal.
Absorbing it could lead you to the discovery of your own frailties and creativity.

POET%20TREE.jpgChapter 1
Beginnings
1957-58
To a loved one – my first love
When I would be alone, you choose to come to me
As I gaze around
I would see your image casting a shadow
A dark thin figure yet so appealing
You would stare at me with strangeness
And by that look you beckon me to come near you
Without hesitation I would come
Your nearness mystify me
With tenderness I touch you
Wanting your warmth to envelope me
But my arms would fall empty to my side
You seem to be near yet so far
Your form still as the night
Visible but intangible
I can not reach you far beyond
I call for you
I whisper the dearest word you taught me
You seem not to heed my call
I invoke your name again and again
I could only hear the echo resounding
Tears would roll down my cheeks
My lips would quiver
As your picture grows dim
I would sigh with heaviness
My heart throbbing with desire.to hold you
But in vain!
I could see your shadow moving away
I stifle a cry, a yearning, my everything aching
My heart oozing with pain
My memory shackled
My life at its ebb.
Revelation
I found you
When the night was young
And the moon with its magical
Loveliness shone bright and vivid
Amidst the vast horizon
Giving light and beauty around
My face lit in delight
My eyes reaching far above
Yonder the deep blue hills
For the tranquil abode I saw
In your solemn look
Making me aware of life’s mystery
I cast my look
Deep into your puzzled face
And held your hand so close
In a clasp tender yet powerful
Crushing the turmoil of doubts
That loomed into your mind
There was silence
We were speaking without words
