Looking out from the Inside: A Reflection of Poems
()
About this ebook
This collection of poems, some based on real life events, is seen through the writers perspective and divided into various chapters that we can all relate to in life. In this ever-changing world, the writer has depicted subjects such as Famous, Politics and Romance, the complicated and weird, worrying world of today; but also shows hope and that there could possibly be a light at the end of the tunnel.
This poetry book is somewhat controversial, certainly food for thought, is reflective and still contains something to make you smile.

Looking out from the Inside - Eleanor Di Blasio
CHAPTER 1 – FAMOUS
Stand up for who you are
Stand up because you are a Star
CHAMPAGNE LIFE
Every day I drink a glass of champagne
I look in the mirror, yes I am vain
I go out to a three hour lunch
Take just after my mid-morning brunch
Then I go off to spend my pile of money
In my glamorous world it is always sunny
Got all the handsome men who want to date me
So it’s breakfast, lunch, and then afternoon tea
Take my bony arse off to a photo shoot
Pack a few expensive outfits in my BMW boot
Mum and Dad say ‘keep it up girl
One day you will take over this World’
My Mum keeps saying ‘from the day I gave birth
I knew that you could conquer this Earth’
Stay on daytime and night time TV
Ensure the producers pay you the correct fee
Darling, you must charge as much as you can
Remember all your Face book and Twitter fans
Wear some designer swagger when you go out tonight
Keep it real; please don’t get into a fight
That Club has table booked for you, you are on the guest list
The Grey Goose and Moet is flowing, you can handle all of this
I am on a tremendous career path
Concentrate pretty one, you are a piece of art
My Mum says ‘I will back you all the way
My beautiful child, love you each and every day’
champagne.psdBEAUTIFUL MAN
Tyson Beckford is so divine
All I wish is that he would be mine
Just one night in his big, strong arms
I would surrender to his manly charms
He is such a good-looking, sexy, hunk
Like having chocolate, just one chunk
I first spotted him strut his stride
Bare chest on show, jacket open wide
He has amazing smooth skin, those Chinese eyes
The most successful male supermodel in our time
So popular on TV, films and many videos
He gets mobbed in the street wherever he goes
A second stint with the Chippendales in Vegas
He seems to have this ability to take us
On a daydream journey and fantasize
In catwalk terms, it is about the ‘smize’
DESIGNER
So finally you let me have my say
This means that I will not have to wait ‘til pay day
I really have to earn my own money
Need to go on holiday somewhere hot and sunny
I have some very wealthy clients
Spend the cash all money spent
Let them look at the swatches
Takes some time on their expensive watches
Use my colours white or beige
Guaranteed they will never fade
Powder blue, also in the blush
Hurry up now ring, call there’s a rush
Kelly Hoppen from Dragon’s Den
Working the decor on TV, target the men
Has sorted out the Beckham’s house
Does not wilt, is no house mouse
Trust everything this Interior Designer says
Open your purse, the house always pays
image2.tifCOLOURFUL BOUQUET
My flowers are better than Dane Bowers
Think I have missed the April showers
Love the colours that they bring
They have even made my heart sing
They smell so sweet and heavenly
My favourite colours leave me in ecstasy
Bringing happiness to my life
Cut the stems off with sharp knife
Never felt so happy before
Took them in and closed front door
Fill the vase up with tap water
Make arrangement, rearrange and alter
Beautiful, lively, in my room
Hope they last until my doom
I love the way flowers make me feel
Loving life, thank you Neil
IS THIS THE END?
What are we having for dinner tonight?
Mung bean and lentil soup if that is alright
Can the Band join us to dine?
They like your cooking; they say it all the time
Oh Chris what a lovely thing to say
Great idea, then I can hear you guys play
But now I must go to the gym
Then if I eat, it won’t feel like a sin
Tracy is waiting for my workout
She’s made me so fit, without a doubt
So much better we don’t eat meat
Count my calories, best not to cheat
Got a function later in the week
What dress to wear, must look chic
Do you think we should consciously uncouple?
Darling I really don’t mind, long as I stay fit and supple
We will remain friends for the kids’ sake
Don’t want to upset them or to appear fake
I just want to have a really good time
Do this right; we will all be absolutely fine
MODELS
Hey darling let’s kiss the air
Hey darlings look like we really care
We all have such an incredible force
Not only are we just clothes horse
Stylists do our makeup and hair
Spend two full hours in the chair
Quaff a few glasses of champagne
Narcissistic pleasure, I’m not vain
Loving my highlighted cheekbones
In wedding dress, sit on my throne
I have my own hero
Only want to be a size zero
No time in my life to workout
Run around all day, keep that pout
Take a look, who is in the FROW?
Anna Wintour shouts ‘go, girl go’
NAUGHTY BOY
Cannot believe he is over 50 years old
Still he will never, ever be told
He is arrogant, wealthy and smart
Knows his profession, but still he acts like a tart
Everyone realises this man is a very confident self
He grins, he smiles, thinks he’s bigger than anyone else
Girls surround him ‘coz he’s got the ‘X Factor’
Little does he know all the talk could sack her
She’s in the paper for all the wrong reasons
He
