The Lost Journal of Mary The Mother of Jesus Christ The Savior to Humankind
()
About this ebook
The Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He was born of a virgin birth and lived His earthly life as a man, a man without sin. His mother was Mary and His father, Joseph. Imagine all the events Mary heard of or saw, as her son traveled, speaking to thousands, healing many, and teaching His disciples. His disciples would later carry out His mission. Imagine all Mary went through, even to the end, watching her son die on a cross. This is her story, a chance for all of us to know and feel what the mother of our Lord experienced. This is her journal.

c1I, Mary, a young woman of Jewish ancestry, have made a decision on my own, not telling a soul of rhis, including my parents and my soon-to-be husband Joseph, even after our wedding vows. This decision is so secretive that it can only be shared with God Himself. What has happened to me and is happening to me is too great of a journey that if not written down as I am doing, it would be lost in the annals of time and that cannot happen!
I will take my time writing down all the events I see or hear. That way the reader will know if it is a fact. It is what truly happened as I am being an honest, faithful, God-created young woman who would never tell a lie, as ir is written by the Prophet Moses, ‘Thou shall not lie.' I am not recording a future event as a prophet might do. I am recording as the days ahead bear witness. Please pass this journal on to the future generations of time, even my other future children whom I hope would read this. Not until my death shall it be made available for such. This is going to be a wondrous journal which will give hope to all, especially those of Jewish heritage!
Here is my journal.
I was born sixteen years ago in a small village here in Galilee, Israel. The Romans rule everything from the simplest of life to the courts of life. Nothing is accomplished without their input. Fact is, words have to be carefully spoken for who knows who is telling the Romans what one says and if it’s contradictory to the Roman Rule. The punishment is hard, even on a young woman such as myself! About the only freedom a Jew has is religion and trying to earn a living to just get by. We, as a family, abide by both the Roman law and the Jewish Rule of Law.
My father is a well digger, if one can afford a well and if the Roman Rule of our area says it’s permissible. My father and his helpers dig it and then get paid a fair enough wage that allows my mother to stay home and be a full-time mother to my siblings and myself. I am the oldest of four children. All of us go to a Jewish school just down the road from us and our teacher is a kind, considerate, well-educated man who seems to have a mind of wisdom. We, as well, all attend church on Sundays at the Synagogue, again within walking distance. I share all of this with the reader in order for you to know a bit about who I am and how I got to be where I am! We have relatives scattered all over creation, including aunts, uncles, cousins and so on. Being a small community called Nazareth, everyone knows everyone on a first name basis!
Now to begin what happened to me, which resulted in this journal being written by my own hand (I learned to write from my well-educated teacher.).
Age sixteen is about the average age in our area for a young girl and young boy to begin thinking of marriage. Some families even choose the one who is going to marry whom before they are ten years old but fortunately our family has not bowed to that thinking. My father says I have a brain of my own, so I should, when ready, choose the one I wish to be attached to! (Thank God my father has the wisdom of Solomon!) My future husband is to be Joseph, a handsome young man just a few years older than myself. Our parents know each other well. We both have gone to the same school and as well to the same synagogue. He has not asked me, as yet, to marry, but we hold hands whenever it’s convenient!
I have an uncle and aunt in Judea who have had no children and it’s rumored they still want a child, but their ages are approaching a time when it would be a miracle if Aunt Elizabeth could bear a child! My Uncle Zacharias is a local priest and I am told by my father that both are from a long line of descendants of Aaron, Moses’s brother. It must be true as I know of no more Godly folks than my aunt and uncle!
The following is a true story as I can vouch for it. I wasn’t there at the time, but we were close enough that not a week went by when we had some kind of contact with them. It seems Uncle Zacharias went into the temple he serves in. It was his turn to burn incense in the inner most Holy part of the temple. Outside folks were praying for their hopes to come true as we all do. It is said while uncle was there an angel appeared out of nowhere and uncle was frightened to the core! But as he tells it, the angel said to him in a language uncle knows, ‚Fear not Zacharias for God has heard your prayer and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son and you shall call him John. This shall fill your home with joy exceedingly! One thing, however, is that you and your wife
must abide in, is that neither of you shall drink any alcohol! Your son
