About this ebook

Too many of us have been forced to learn the art of masking our pain and suffering in silence with the unresolved issues that colour our world because "no one will understand".If you are lonely although always in a crowd, 'single' yet married, sitting in silence wondering, struggling to find someone you can pour out your heart to, someone who will listen actively and hear you without being judgmental, condemnatory, superficial; this book is for you! This book gives a voice to all the years of silent frustration, disillusionment, heartaches and disappointments of many sisters, some of whom may have even given up hope of finding a reason to climb out of the barricades they have built around themselves and to laugh again.

Married, But Single; Wives Without Husbands - Roselle Reid-Grinion

    Introduction

Where did I go wrong? That is a question that has become all too familiar among women of God in Christendom. Too many of us have been forced to learn the art of masking our pain and suffering in silence with the unresolved issues that colour our world because no one will understand. If you are alone although always in a crowd, ‘single’ yet married, sitting in silence wondering, struggling to find someone you can pour out your heart to, someone who will listen actively and hear you without being judgmental, condemnatory, superficial; this book is for you! This book gives a voice to all the years of silent frustration, disillusionment, heartaches and disappointments of many sisters, some of whom may have even given up hope of finding a reason to climb out of the barricades they have built around themselves and to laugh again.

If as a married woman, you have ever longed for real intimacy that is not predicated nor based on sex; yearned for a companion who gets you (really understands you!) and yet loves you beyond the flaws in an open, honest way; then this book is for you. This book is for women who wish they had waited, found out that they didn’t get married to their best friends and hope they can still turn back time. If that speaks to you at the core of where you are and what you are struggling with; there is hope. Be encouraged. God still has a plan for you. (Jeremiah 18:4)

As you turn the pages of this book, it is my prayer that it will minister to you at the point of your needs. I have personally lived so much of the experiences captured in this book and I have been privileged to have listened to the anguish of other sisters who have had similar experiences. At the time of writing, I have been separated three years after some twenty-plus years of marriage. This book was birthed out of the anguish and turbulence of this difficult phase. I didn’t even fully understand then that I was being processed for purpose so that greater glory could be ascribed to God through my testimony.

    Be encouraged....

Every little girl fantasizes about their dream wedding, finding the man of their dreams who captures the heart sending butterflies into the stomach and whisking her away to cloud nine where there is a utopian, happy-ever-after unending honeymoon of romance and heart-stopping love. Prince Charming shows up, Cupid shoots the love arrow and there is bliss all the way to the altar where the vows are exchanged, sealing a lifetime covenant between two individuals who are expected to become one.
