Hikaru held her baby Eri. Almost a full year had passed. The tree leaves were covered in snow. She wore an animal hide coat. Keeping a thick blanket around her child to keep the child warm. The cold nipped Hikaru's bare feet. She moved the sliding door and re-entered the main house. New trainees for the warrior caste were practicing. The battle against the Kitsune had been devastating . The Takeda forces were bare bones now. Men were now serving in the stead of those that died.
