    If you’re anything like me, you probably didn’t particularly enjoy studying poetry in school. What if the tree is just a tree? How do we know what he meant? He’s dead. Both sentiments were repeated frequently in some form from frustrated students to equally frustrated English teachers whenever we came across poetry in our literature books. This small collection exists to bring this art form from one ordinary human to another in an accessible manner.

    First and foremost, I write to convey emotion. I’ve always considered poetry especially to be a deeply personal experience. Having never considered
