Chapter 1 – Home sweet home

This year will be a better year, right? Alice said.

Mia ignored her and kept reading a book. Alice grabbed the book off her and rolled her eyes, she then put it away somewhere. You can’t keep worrying about the stones, we need to enjoy the last 2 weeks till school starts. Alice continued. Lily walked in their room with her brother’s with biscuits.

Try it, we made it, peppermint flavoured. Lily smiled slyly. Peppermint? Alice questioned. Alice your hearing can’t get any worse, I said delicious. Lily shook her head. They ate quickly and then looked as if they were both about to puke.

The boys and Lily laughed. What did you put in that biscuit?’’ Alice asked wanting to know what was in that horrible biscuit. Lily giggled, so did the James and Albus. It’s a secret recipe." James grinned.

Anyway did you find the place closest to Hogwarts?’’ Albus asked Mia politely. Mia’s smile grew bigger. That’s it! Mia grabbed the compass and saw some writing in north. It said Forbidden forest. That’s right next to Hagrid’s hut. Mia jumped up and down happily. Yeah well it’s forbidden." James said trying to make it obvious. Mia gave him the stare.

Well we can ask Hagrid to take us there. Mia said and thought again. Maybe not, it’s too risky. Mia grabbed a book at the top shelf and read. This book is about the forbidden forest. Mia said and flicked through a couple of pages. I hope this time it’s not going to be dangerous as last time. Albus said quietly. I’m sure it’s not going to be that dangerous. Alice said and nudged Albus. Kids come and eat breakfast. Ginny called from downstairs.

The kids ran downstairs and sat down to eat. So what have you all been talking about up there for the past couple of weeks? Ginny said suspiciously. Um we blahh blahh. Albus was full of toast and he couldn’t speak clearly.

Come on I’m sure you all can tell me? Ginny said. Ginny waited for an answer. What do we do, we can’t tell them? Lily whispered. I know. Alice had a great idea. What did you two say? Ginny asked. We were talking about our school project for school. Alice said. That’s great, I will go get Harry and you can all tell us about your projects. She said. While she was gone for a bit James whispered in Alice’s ear and said. That wasn’t your best one yet Alice. James whispered. I didn’t have much time to think, ok. Alice sighed.

What are you all going to do for your school projects? Harry said. Everyone jumped and had no clue Harry was there. Can we tell you later if it’s ok father? They all exclaimed.

Um…but wait, But it was too late, they all headed to the shared library. Kids. He sighed. Everyone laid on bean bags to get comfortable. Our next adventure is going to be dangerous, Mia said darkly. The room suddenly became cold and quiet. Mia flicked through a page and saw a terrifying creature. What’s wrong? Lily asked.

This….creature. Mia couldn’t bare to describe it. It’s so frightening in the book, it…it said it can stab through your heart with those terrifying horns and kill you. Mia closed her eyes trying not to think about it.

Everyone went silent. Everyone was worried. It would be the end if they don’t succeed. We have our wands, we can defend ourselves with charms. Alice broke the silence and they all nodded. They all heard a flapping noise. I think the owls are here for the Hogwarts letters. Albus said and ran down stairs, the rest followed him.

Hi Mr Mc-Scrubby, how are you? Albus patted the great big owl on the back. The huge eyes looked at what Albus was holding. Albus grabbed the letters and handed some dried rats to the owl.

The owl snatched it and flew away. Albus handed the letters to them and then Mia grabbed the newspaper. The daily prophet! Mia gritted her teeth. I hope she didn’t, you know. Alice said and flicked through a page.

Dementors are searching for people, who knows why no one escaped. The ministry of magic thinks it’s no big deal. Hermione Granger says to keep safe and not go near the dementors. Some say they came for a prisoner, or they say something else more suspicious. Report on what the guards said.

Gimlord, Well all the prisoners are in the prison and it is strange for the dementors to look around,

Omac, Maybe we miss counted and one prisoner escaped, who knows,

That’s my auntie she’s the ministry of magic, amazing right. James said. Albus and Lily looked at James annoyed he left them out. I mean our auntie. He said. That’s amazing.

Alice and Mia were surprised. Then suddenly Mia felt weary and dizzy, she lost balance and collapsed to the ground. In her mind she had images of Hissarh and Izzy commanding the dementors to get Lily, Mia, Alice, Albus and James souls and destroy it. Mia…Wake up… Mia! Lily called. Mia’s hand became black. The curse. She got cursed from Hissarh and Izzy that day. Sometimes her hand would become black and spread.

Mia woke up. Are you ok? James asked, concerned. Albus grabbed her hand and pulled her up. It’s…..it’s Hissarh an…..d Izzy. Mia went dizzy and couldn’t finish her sentence.

Lily and Alice grabbed her just in time before she fell. Mia’s Black Hand stang and blood oozed out. Ahh, Ow. Mia shook her hand to try get the sting to go away. Then slowly the blackness faded.

What happened to your hand? James asked looking at it. I don’t know. Mia said quietly. Also I saw Izzy and Hissarh laughing and ordering the dementors to bring back our soul and…and maybe kill us, She said in one breath. Everyone was shocked. If they do, they will destroy it and we will be dead before you know it. Lily said. That’s right.

We have to be careful. Alice added. We have to be very careful at Hogwarts, who knows what’s going to happen there. Albus said quietly. They all looked at each other worried, scared, and hopeless. Let’s not talk about this. James said changing the subject. Ok then, look what Trixie can do.

Lily grabbed her little mouse and put her on a table, then the mouse leaped to the next. Good girl. Lily gave her a piece of cheese. The mouse ate the cheese quickly. Are you sure you didn’t use magic? James asked and raised an eyebrow. Lily’s face was reddening, she was about to strangle him. She took a deep breath and spoke. No, of course not anyway we’re not allowed to use magic outside of school. Lily snapped.

That reminds me we have to do a school project to show at school. Albus quickly went in his room and grabbed a dusty brown box and went back in the Library. He opened the box slowly and inside were some rocks. Scorpius and I are collecting rocks for our project. Albus said.

He grabbed a smooth black one and showed it to everyone. This one is my favourite, it was from a volcano. James felt it and smiled. It’s nothing compared to the opal.’’ He winked at everyone. True but it’s still pretty good."

Albus put the smooth black rock safely in the box. Guess what my project is about? Lily asked waiting for an answer. Is it about Azkaban? Alice asked. No. Is it about how to make the healing potion? James said. No. Is it about the stones? No way Mia we can’t tell anyone remember. Lily said surprisingly. Oops I forgot.

Mia said quietly. It’s about Trixie and her amazing tricks, I thought it was obvious. Rats I forgot. Mia looked depressed. Forgot what? They asked. The darn project. Mia said and kicked a coffee table in frustration. Don’t worry we can help you. Alice said. Well we need to get back to our rooms doing boy stuff, bye." James and Albus got up and waved good bye.

They left and headed straight to their rooms. You know how Laura and her gang bullied us last year, we should tell our parents well your step parents about it. Lily asked changing the subject.

They both thought and nodded. "You’re right, I hate them, they always get me on my nerves and find a way to hurt me.’’ Alice said.

I’ll go to my father and ask him about this. Then Lily left and looked for her father. Harry was sitting down doing some work in his office and drinking very bitter coffee. Hey father do you have any time for a quick chat? Lily asked.

Her father smiled and patted Lily on the back. Sure what do you want to talk about? He asked. Well you see last year these three girls started bullying me and Mia and Alice. Lily said. What are their names? Harry said. Lily bit her lip. One is named Harmony Chang. Lily was about to continue until Harry spilled some coffee on his shirt.

Did…….you say Chang? Harry couldn’t believe it. Cho had a daughter of her own that bullies her daughters. So who are the others? Another one is Veronica Bell. Lily continued. Harry thought about Katie Bell. And the leader…….Laura Lovegood. Lily said quietly. Harry’s eyes were wide open. He was awake.

I will call Laura’s mother and see what I can do. He said and grabbed his phone.

He called Luna. Luna answered. Hi Harry I haven’t talked to you in a while how are you? Said Luna’s dreamy voice. Well thank you um how are you? Harry said. Pretty well. Luna said. Good well I heard your daughter bullied my kids and they don’t like it so you should tell your daughter to stop. Harry said rudely.

Luna was shocked and didn’t let Harry get away with it. What….no my daughter would not do such a thing! Luna was horrified. But it’s true. Harry I don’t like your attitude, good bye! But wait." It was too late she already hanged up. Harry sighed and got back to work.

Chapter 2 – Laura’s life

In Laura’s home Laura listened to the whole conversation. Laura felt weird in her stomach. Laura’s mother Luna walked to her and gave her a hug. Laura dear is it true you bullied Harry’s kids? She asked looking at Laura disappointingly. No. Laura lied and then burst into tears.
