About the Author

Giuseppe, an innate innovator, was born and raised in Italy. He holds a Master in Mechanical Engineering from Universita di Pisa, Italy, and a Master of Science in Metallurgical and Material Engineering from Colorado School of Mines.

Right after graduating, he started an international career, developing new territories for the companies he worked at, such as Japan, South Korea, Italy, France, Argentina. As a matter of fact, he has landed in 225 airports. He has been exposed to multiple cultures and costumes across four continents.

He led the Innovation Strategies for a French corporation. Additionally, he founded Bridging Value, a company that generates innovative ecosystems to solve a common problem.

He is a natural leader, always looking to identify new trends and opportunities across industry verticals and geographies. As such, he is the President-Elect and member of the Board of Directors of the Argentina Texas Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, he co-chairs the Aerospace Committee within the Houston Angels Network.

Lastly, the passion for designing the future has led Giuseppe to support and invest in multiple startups. Like most visionaries, he draws inspiration from outdoor activities and from Maia and Lorenzo, his young wizards.

Chapter 1: The Void between Now and the Future

We’re all stumbling in the dark, and that makes for some pretty interesting collisions. -Marty Rubin

What comes to mind when you hear the word time? A wall clock? A wristwatch? A calendar? The transition of day and night? Whatever your interpretation of time is, one thing is for sure that we are bounded by it in real life, and it is moving in one direction only - forward.

In fact, even two minutes have a profound impact on our day-to-day lives. How? Because in the span of two minutes, we can be exposed to a number of realities. These realities could be:

The forward-moving time also seems to be the only certainty in our lives. We are born, we live to spend our time in this world, and then simply leave in the end. Let’s keep the end part away for now as I want to focus more on the middle part in this book which is: Living your life. Just look at the current state of your life - the Present. It is preceded by the Past and what follows is the Future.

One of the significant differences between these two eras is that we know what happened in the Past, but we have no idea what the Future will unveil.
