About this ebook

Thirty-eight year old Anne Gates frantically phoned police when she "discovered" the badly beaten body of her sixty-five year old husband. The attack was staged to look like the work of a prowler but police soon found out that Anne had been recently named the beneficiary of her husband's now sizable life insurance policy...and that she had been the recipient of a similiar payout years earlier with the murder of her first husband.

Above all, he was a man devoted to his cheerful, redhead wife that made the heads of men turn wherever she went.

On the surface, it appeared that they had it all. A typical couple prepping for a long life together filled with children and happiness.

They both appeared to be happy, Raymond Plue, David's brother said. Anne was an outgoing, happy person. David appeared to be happy and satisfied to be with her.

David had seemingly found the perfect mate in Anne. Everyone that he introduced Anne to came away feeling impressed by the woman's considerable warmth and charm.

Someone who can gain your confidence, Raymond Plue recalled when describing Anne. Someone who can make you like them immensely and want to do everything for you. That's the kind of person she was.

She had a way about her, forensic psychologist Paula Orange said. She was the type of person who could look you in the eye and immediately make you feel as if you mattered to you. She had a special kind of innate charm and it is easy to see why David Plue fell for her.

Anne's charm weaved magic in her working life as well. She was employed as a registered nurse and soon talked her way into becoming the manager of her unit.

She worked as a registered nurse, said Lt. Gina Holland. She held a supervisory position but later it appeared that she had fabricated certificates to obtain that position when she wasn't even qualified for it. Anne seemed to be living in a path of lies.

Deceit and manipulation had slowly become a way of life for Anne. Despite
