    Acknowledgement

To my son, Jayquan Dixon, you have made it so hard for me to throw in the towel and give up. I could not have done this without you in my life.  My parents, Paula Jameison and Clive Ledgister, you guys have thought me different things about life. Combining both lessons have made me into the woman I am today. My dear sister Tajh (Tajhera Ledgister) you are my rock.  My grandfather, Lumsden Ledgister, you were a humble man with big dreams, and you accomplished most if not all through determination and perseverance. Rest in Perfect peace My love, if it was up to love you would have been here today; my love would have brought you back. I love you all with all of my heart.

To the most high, thank you for guidance on my journey. Please never let go of my hand.

    Preface

If you are wondering why, I wrote this book? Well, let me tell you, God told me to. The vision was as clear as day. Love comes at us when we least expect it. Sometimes to love means to give and not take. Love in its truest form, however, requires us to be patient, hopeful and understanding.

This book speaks about an undying love that Shay, a university freshman, developed for a young man she met in class one day. Her best friend Lacy thinks it can work, the young man however has just gotten out of rocky relationship and finds it hard to open his heart again.

Will they end up together? turn the pages to find out.

    Dedication

This book is dedicated to every woman who genuinely desires true love those who are in love, those who fail to recognize true love and those who want their own fairytale version of true love; you are not alone.

    Chapter 1

It was about 2:35 pm on the January morning of 2015. I was in class with my new best friend Lacy, she always has some exciting story to share. While she was talking away as usual with her well-manicured fingers aligned the space in front of her to demonstrate what she was saying. She was always like that, one of the reasons why I enjoyed her company so much.

Shay the man called 12 types and hanged up every single time mi ansa Lacy said.

Crawsis! I shouted while cutting my eyes at Lacy.

Lacy laughed out loud, And me so fool fool n answer every call eno girl Lacy said between chuckles.

Before I could answer I felt someone touched my hand and said, Excuse me, can u tell me what page we're at?

It was the most handsome man I have ever seen. I quickly shuffled my book to show him the page, my hands were shaking, my heart was racing, I just couldn't stop blushing. I turned around to see Lacy looking at me giggling and winking. I felt so nervous, I knew she would not stop talking about this guy for weeks.  I could not concentrate on what the lecturer was teaching as my mind was stuck on this dark god of a man. I wanted to take another glance at him, but I just couldn't mutter up the courage to turn around.

After class he spoke to me again, he asked if I understood the assignment and if I could assist him. I quickly explain while trying to control my anxiety. He was so cute, I thought to myself. After class Lacy was quiet until she nudged me and said, His name is Mike.

    Who??, I said

    Your new crush

The guy you'll be dreaming of tonight

The cutie that asked about the page

I rolled my eyes, I can't stand you

The young man just asked for assistance, nothing more

How can I be crushing on someone I just met

I knew damn well I was planning dates for me and Mike in my head, but I dare not let my friend know. She was chatting away while all I could think of was how I was touched by an angel

    today.

    Chapter 2

Two weeks came by fast and I couldn't wait to enter community service class to place my eyes on Mr. Bright smile. I searched for him everywhere on campus last week. There he was in a blue shirt and khaki pants. He motioned for me to sit in front of him.

Hi, I forgot to ask your name last week

My name is Mike, what's yours?, he said when our eyes met

    I was so nervous I couldn't speak.

Shay! Lacy said with a wide grin

    She's shy, don’t mind her

    Is that true?

    "Are u shy? He asked

I didn't answer I smile and folded my lips. Why is my friend putting me on a spot with this guy? A guy like him must have a girlfriend yet here I was in yet another class session fully concentrated on this young man that I don't even know. The half hour class session went by fast and he disappeared like he did last week. I was shot in the heart with no gun insight. All I could think about was how nervous and exciting I was when I have an encounter with this guy. I knew if I wanted to get close to him, I better gather some courage to talk to him. It looked like God was working in my favor because there he was in the line at
