Chapter 1: Growing Vegetable Can Help You Save Money

If you're like most people, you're looking for a way to save money by cutting corners. There are a few things you can do right now to save money. It is possible to travel less and use less gasoline. You can save money on utilities by not using as much electricity and heat. You can stop eating out and start eating at home. Perhaps you are already doing this but need to save more money. Your food bill is one area where you can save a lot of money. With food prices rising, this may become a necessity. You can not only save money on your food bill, but you can also begin eating healthier.

You've most likely heard of organic foods. These are all-natural foods that do not contain any chemicals or preservatives. Organic vegetables are available at your local supermarket and typically cost significantly more than vegetables grown with chemical pesticides and other toxins. You've probably heard that organic vegetables are healthier, but you don't want to pay the extra money. After all, the goal is to save money, isn't it? And, if you're like most of us, you want to get the most bang for your buck. Particularly at the supermarket.

Growing your own vegetables is a great way to save money while eating healthy. Depending on the number of vegetables you grow, this can significantly reduce your food bill. If you have a plot of land, you can save money by growing your own vegetables in the soil, and you will end up with vegetables and fruits that are healthier than those purchased at the store. You can save at least $100 per month by growing your own vegetables, and this savings can be used after the harvest if you learn how to preserve various vegetables and fruits.

Consider what you could do with $100 per month. It can pay a couple of bills for you or just lighten your load a little. And these savings can grow indefinitely. When you start growing your own vegetables, you will notice a monthly savings in your food bills. Of course, you'll have to wait until harvest time to really start saving money, but once you've done that, you'll be able to save money all year long by following the advice in this book. There are also some tips I'll give you that will allow you to start saving money on herbs relatively quickly.

Planting and harvesting a vegetable garden requires effort, but it is a worthwhile effort. It is actually therapeutic to work in a garden and plant vegetables or fruits. Many people enjoy being outside and gardening simply for the sake of it. It enhances the
