    Promise Keeper

When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.

    Isaiah 43:2 (NLT)

    Life is never smooth sailing.

    There are mountain top days

    and valley low days.

    Even as we meander through

the curves that life throws our way,

    we are not alone.

    Storms may come;

pain and grief may encompass us

    from time to time.

    When the storm hits,

    the disciples panicked.

    In their panic, Jesus slept

    peacefully as the storm raged.

When we realize who stands in

    our corner, fear will vanish.

He has promised He will be with us

    even through the fire—

    Shadreck, Misheck, and Abednigo

    are proof of that.

Daniel is proof of His protection

    in the lion’s den.

The 5000 fed with two fish and five loaves,

even Elijah was fed by ravens.

All this proves His promises are true.

Today, I choose to stand on those promises.

Today, I choose to declare fear is not my portion,

for I have a friend who

    is closer than a brother.

It is by His grace that we are not consumed.

The promise keeper and Lion of Judah stands with me no matter what life throws at me.

    Struggles

And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

    Romans 5:3-5

    Trials and tribulations may come.

The path through life is not easy.

There are many winding twists and turns.

    Through every experience

    are lessons to be learnt;

    through every pain, a deeper appreciation for joy;

    through every dead end,

    a new path to be blazed;

    through every rock bottom

situation, the only option is to rise above it through grace.

Diamonds are formed through heat and pressure,

and gold purified by heat to remove impurities.

So, then, do trials and tribulations

    build character through endurance.

A Godly character is worth more than gold.

Joseph endured being sold into slavery to attain his place in Egypt.

Moses endured years as a fugitive

before he led God’s people to the promised land.

Even Jesus endured ridicule, persecution, even death

from those He came to save.

    Face every challenge with hope

    and anticipation.

Trusting that the pressure or pain, difficulty or storm you face

is the stepping stone to a more refined version of you.

God is using those situations to chisel away

the rough edges and make you into a precious vessel of service for Him.

Do not despair when trials come.

Instead, stand in hope and do not be ashamed

because God’s love will sustain you.

    Crucified with Christ

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

    Galatians 2:20 KJV

    In Him, let me live.

    In Him, let me stand.

    My shield, my buckler,

    my refuge, my all.

    Just for me, He hung

    on a cross.

Just for me, He showed up

    in the flesh.

    The cross, a true representation

    of His love and goodness.

May His light shine in me.

Let me be a reflection of Him.

Who is able to do more than we could ask or think?

    His limitless strength

    sustains always.

    He nourishes my soul

    with His abundant grace.

    Fill my heart, Lord.

Allow me to hunger and thirst only after You.

    My strong tower,

my heart finds peace in Your presence.

My soul seeks refuge in You.

    You are my rock;

    I will not be moved.

Allow my weary soul to rest at Thy feet.

Live in me, O Lord, because in Your presence to die is gain.

    Nail self to the cross,

and resurrect a Godly character in me.

    Gratitude

Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.

    Psalms 150:6

    Gratitude is an attitude.

    With gratitude comes abundance.

    When we show gratitude,

God opens up the windows of heaven and pours

    out blessing.

With every fiber in your being,

    be thankful to Him.

He is the giver of life.

    Each day we wake,

is a gift and a blessing.

    Even in adversity, be thankful.

    All praise belongs to Him,

for He is and was and is to come.

Let us glory in His name,

singing songs of thanksgiving and honor to Him

    in all things.

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.

With praise and gratitude, grace and blessing abound.

    Weary

Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

    Deuteronomy 31:6

    Lord, I am weary.

    My heart is broken.

    Disappointments and hardships

    surround me from every side;

pain and stress are the order of the day.

    I am overwhelmed.

Remind me again, Lord, that I am not alone.

Remind me again that You are with me.

You promised never to leave me or
