About this ebook

This book is about how mindfulness to improve mental health and mood begins with exercise, by sacrificing the body. Most people think the hard work is achieved through sweat, but it's in the kitchen, in what we feed ourselves, where the true challenge begins. One can't outwork a bad diet. This is where learning how to master self-control is key. The catch is that anyone can do it: all it takes is consistency.

Mindfulness, Mental Health, and Mood - Kellman Nathaniel-Foster

    Book Description

On the 11th of March 2020, the world as we know it changed. In the aftermath of dictatorial rules, media fear mongering, and rampant disinformation, people began to re-acclimatize to this new normality. As with every other global event, the aftershocks felt extended far beyond economic and population losses. Unlike other traumatic events of the 20th and 21st centuries though, the events leading up to the spread of Covid-19, and the repercussions of global governments rippled through every surviving generation.

As the dust settles, a new, alarming trend is emerging. People, once united against big pharmaceutical companies trying to dictate the standards of health, are yielding to artificial, synthesized ‘cures’ against the virus. Never before have the fear mongering tactics of the media, government, and the medical industry had such a profound effect on the people of the world. Mindfulness, Mental Health, and Mood seeks to empower people to take back control of their lives and their wellness. With obesity rates soaring, convenience shopping overtaking in-store purchases, and gyms being forced to shut down, it has become imperative for people to become mindful of their physical and mental health. Kellman Nathaniel-Foster takes a look into health and fitness in an Orwellian existence, helping to rewire minds to a healthy, balanced way of living. While there is not much that can be done about the events that continue to unfold around us, a stand can be taken in reclaiming your mind and body. Readers are guided away from the fear inducing tactics, helping them take back control of their minds, bodies, and wellness.

    Introduction

On the 11th of March 2020, the world changed as the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV), now known as Covid-19, a global pandemic. As the world descended into panic amidst uncertainty and media propaganda, countries began closing their borders while trying to control the spread of a new, devastating virus. Weeks unfolded into months, and economies began to crumble under the effects of locked down businesses and an inability to earn income. Governments offered menial subsidies, albeit too late.

Placed under pressure, fumbling governments grasped at straws of control, threatening clear human rights violations for not adhering to this new norm. All the while, the media which thrives on the perpetual suffering of humanity, latched onto a new form of media brainwashing. Images of people too afraid to hug their elderly parents are seen touching hands through paned glass windows. Images of women forced to birth their children without their partners, in direct contravention of the WHO’s own human rights manifesto, and images of children gloved and masked being pulled from playgrounds, are force fed to anyone who owns a television, laptop, or smart device.
