    Prologue ...

Kasey was born in America in 1998 of UK parents. In 2002, her parents took her for a holiday to visit her ageing grandparents. Keith and Florence Templeton had taken great care in her upbringing and looked forward to showing off the intelligent, beautiful, young girl to her grandparents. They were rugged up tight against the bitter cold of winter. Even with the heater on full it was struggling to keep any warmth inside the car. Unfortunately there is a severe accident in the Scottish Highlands along the way and the parents were killed on a lonely snowy back road.

The snow was pelting down and the visibility was minimal. The road surface was more ice than gravel as the vehicles' tyres tried to find grip. Keith was driving and failed to negotiate a very sharp bend upon the twisting turns of the icy road, the car sliding over the steep embankment and into the woods far below where it was wrecked upon the large snow covered pine trees. Then to make matters even worse it was buried deeply inside the huge mounds of snow that lay upon the frozen earth. Florence and Keith were killed instantly by the impact with the trees. Surprisingly, the child Kasey had somehow been thrown clear of the wreck and was miraculously unharmed. Wandering through the thick woods alone the young girl is freezing cold, and terrified out of her wits. The wild woods tear viciously at her clothing and she begins to panic. With horrendous fear building up inside of her she runs. She runs and runs aimlessly until she is out of breath, then totally lost and forlorn she begins to slowly stagger along. Somehow little Kasey had wandered into the garden of a huge estate.

Greys had been outside collecting firewood when he noticed the raggedy child moving slowly along a pathway. She is almost dead from exposure when she is found by the old caretaker, who is home alone, the family having left before the winter set in. Where had she come from? What was her name? These questions would go unanswered for months as the isolated estate is totally snowed in for the winter and is without any contact with the outside world. Weeks go by and the young girl slips in and out of consciousness due to pneumonia and frost bite. Greys attends to her constantly until she is well enough to get out of bed. The large 17th century country house becomes her playground and her gymnasium as she struggles to get herself well. When she does finally regain her strength and the roads are reopened it is months later on. The car wreck is found after spring melts winters fall of snow and ice. As Greys reads the paper and he guesses that the little one could be the missing girl from a car wreck found only a mile away. He contacts the local Police Station. So close by her parents lay all winter, sad really, but at least now they could have a funeral for them and try to find Kasey's next of kin.

Eventually Kasey's grandmother, Marigold is found, she is the sister of the now deceased M, and is married to a retired 007, Bradick. They decide not to tell Kasey about their past involvement with MI6. The grandparents home school Kasey and teach her everything that she could need to survive in the harsh climate of the Highlands. As she is growing up her demeanour is mostly somber but she is very well behaved and enjoys studying. Besides the normal school curriculum her Grandmother schooled her in some finer things of life, deportment, sewing, and some of the languages from the continent. Kasey also studied the fine art of etiquette to be able to socialise with the best of society. Hunting, fishing, and skiing take up Kasey's spare time under the tutelage of Pop Bradick. Starting slowly at first, he also teaches Kasey some unarmed combat training, a young woman should know how to defend herself in these troubled times. So by the time she reaches sweet sixteen she is quite the accomplished young lady, with the social skills to charm nobility and the venom to survive in even the harshest of situations. At Twenty-One years old Kasey is at university and is given her inheritance. Any property her parents owned had been liquidated and none of their personal belongings remained after all of these years. It was as though they had not existed at all. Their entire estate had been reduced to a substantial amount in English Pounds.

Three years go by quickly and it is now 2022. Kasey Templeton is Twenty-Four years old and has just completed a university degree with distinction in computer sciences. An MI6 agent working out of a London office approaches her with an offer of work. Her very humble beginnings of service within the agency are sitting behind a desk using computers to combat corruption. Her specialty is investigating corporate corruption within companies that have terrorist sympathies.

As Twenty-Seven looms she is at the top of her local department, Christmas draws near and so does the office Christmas party. At 180cm tall and with a slim, fit but not totally unattractive figure, Kasey had dressed up to enjoy the night. Her short curly dark bob, giving shape to her almost plain features, somehow lifting and highlighting her face. Her makeup was minimal but beautifully done and her little black dress was enviable. The overall look, desirable. However at the office Christmas party, Kasey is accosted by this redneck, drunken agent, who wouldn't take no for an answer. Kebil thought that he was God's gift to women. A big mistake. Kasey defends herself and within several seconds defeats the unwary agent, breaking several of his bones in the process.

A week or so later and the festive season was over, the ever watchful M was in his office reviewing the CCTV of the incident. Anyone that could take down Kebil was either a double agent or a future prodigy. He is impressed by her skill and he decides to test her mettle in the combat training room. After some weeks of training the lessons from Bradick came back to her. Although forgotten in time, many of the moves taught by Bradick were so effective that they could never be matched. M was intuitive and quick to understand that this woman had been trained by someone from MI6.

One morning M reviews old video of past agents to find out who. Yes, the style matched, the movement was almost exactly the same, James Bradick, retired 2000, now 68 years old, lives with Marigold Bradick. Kasey had been trained by one of the toughest 00's that MI6 had ever had in the service. M decides to take a personal interest in this young woman from the Highlands and extend her training to include weapons, and the muddy bloody mess of boot camp. The woman seemed to lap up pain, hold it all in, and than deal it back two fold. The woman didn't seem to have any compassion for anyone that got in her way. M was suitably impressed by her record in the field, as she became the perfect stealthy killing machine. She would be perfect for his new 00 program, 008. But firstly she would have to climb up the ladder of success like everyone else. The 008 program was to be staffed by female agents only. Their job was to infiltrate into the upper echelon of the UK criminal society's.

A few months later, Kasey has quickly moved up through the tedium of rank and file, until she is finally given an assignment attached to the external affairs office. Her first assignment was to investigate a vast criminal organisation that had a large illegal importation racket going on. Mostly illegal loads of cigarettes and booze were brought into the UK through shipping ports and then the booty was distributed throughout a network of legal businesses. Kasey's job was to personally investigate the organisation from the ground up in a bid to capture the unknown top conspirators and break up the syndicate.

Chapter One ... The Turkish Connection.

A tip-off finds Kasey travelling to Turkey's wild seaboard and through her MI6 contacts at the Istanbul office, Kasey's is given the latest information on agents working in the vicinity. They also arrange for her to be hired by the port as the cargo annalist for the suspect ship the 'Black Prince', a cargo carrier out of Southeast Asia. Using computer technology she is able to direct the loading of the Black Prince. It is while doing this loading that she discovers secretly hidden extra containers in the hold that are not listed on the ship's manifest. The automatic loader could only put boxes on top of other boxes. However, as she loaded the containers many of them were being stacked above what was supposed to be empty space. Most cargo annalists would have put it down to a computer glitch. But in Kasey's mind, the only things that could be in those empty spaces were other containers. But she had to be sure.
