“Very well,” he slid a pen across the table, a slow smile curving his lips. “Then sign it and we’ll begin.”
Kayla flipped to the last page where the sharp angles of Jackson’s signature were already indelibly printed. She gave it her own curvy flourish and dated it and then passed the packet back to him. “There. When do you want me to start?” Her mind was already back at her studio apartment, sorting things into boxes.
“Tonight.”
“I beg your pardon,” Kayla couldn’t keep the shock from her voice. “Tonight? But I don’t have anything packed.”
“That won’t be necessary. Take off your clothes,” Jackson said. His voice was deep and warm, rolling over her like honey.
