Introduction

This book contains the most important cure of all: the cure from the cancer of religion! All people are religious in one way or another. Some are Christians, some are Orthodox Jews, Moslems, Hindu, Buddhists, New Age, Satanic Worshippers, Mormons, Jehovah’s Witnesses, some Atheists, some Gnostics and some simply worship themselves! But we all worship something or other apart from an intimate personal relationship with the Creator. All religions (including self-improvement ones) will kill you sooner or later. It is time to eradicate the cancer of religion before it is too late!

My Definition of Religion

Religion is the human quest for knowledge, protection, provision, self-improvement and satisfaction outside of a personal, intimate relationship with the Creator.

This quest can be in the name of God, Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism and Hinduism or in one’s own name or the name of Atheism, New Age or Gnosticism, or even the name of Satan. The common denominator is that it is all done apart from an intimate relationship with the Creator Himself. It seeks to know about the Creator, about the creation, but does not intimately know the Creator. In Hebrew, the root of the word to know is yada. This word is also used to describe the intimate relationship between a husband and a wife as they become one with each other. Then they know each other in every aspect. Religion of any kind seeks for knowledge (yeda) but does not know (yada) the One who is the Creator of all. King Solomon, the man that had more knowledge than anyone that has ever lived before him, said after seeking much knowledge, because in much wisdom there is much grief, and increasing knowledge results in increasing pain (Ecclesiastes 1:18).
