      The cool liquid passed through his lips. His parched throat welcomed it. His worn out body was grateful for it. Vodka cured any and all ailments for Richard. And in his line of work, there was always a need to drown out the wounds and stay sharp for the next round of bullets, so to speak. But then again, Richard’s job did entail the occasional hostile encounter or two. Espionage did have its tense moments.

      He looked forward to the hot shower that beckoned him and the good night’s sleep he needed.
