Kasuba's Inner Safari Quest: A Journey of Self-Discovery and Overcoming Your Fears by Being True to Yourself

About this ebook
Kasuba's Inner Safari Quest is told using a safari as an analogy for how we navigate through life. It may not come in the same form as Kasuba's, but the story line usually goes something like this. You face a challenge or a major change in your life; a move to a new town, new school, or even a new grade,

About the Author
Foreword
This is a wonderful story! I love how Bwalya uses her coaching hat to turn a safari story into a self-help novel for kids.
The self-help intros to each part of the story are great. Since kids may not always be able to read into a deeper meaning of stories, this gives them a frame of reference with which to view the piece of the story they’re about to read.
It’s relevant to modern times as it shows the main character dealing with the home schooling that many kids are struggling with today. Kids will be able to relate to Kasuba on a powerful level.
The word Safari
conjures up so many great images for kids: vacation, animals, adventure, and maybe a slight bit of danger because they might be exploring something unknown. Not only will this self-help novel guide them through their everyday challenges, but it will engage them with a fun and entertaining read.
The reflections really tie up the lesson from each story. The structure put together is really strong and helps kids relate the story to what’s going on in their lives.
This book can be read by kids independently, but it also lends itself well to discussion, therefore being a great acquisition for any school, parent, or educator. This book can be used to help children struggling with issues around change and belief in themselves, helping them find their place in the world.

I would like to thank the very many children I have come across throughout my coaching career and before. You have helped nurture the inner child within. A huge thank you goes to my daughter, Chichi-René, my nephews, Kocha and Nebu, and my niece, Niara (KP!), whose characters are sprinkled throughout this tale. I would like to thank my mother, Chibulu Jane, for nurturing my love for books and stories. Thanks to my brothers, Ntazana (the big bro) and Chaila (the little bro), for their love and support.
I thank my small mummy, Mummy Chanda, for helping me out with all the Bemba sayings and ensuring I spelt them correctly.
A big thank you to my other hype-man, my all-weather friend and sister, Nankhonde Kasonde Van den Broek.
I give very special thanks to my first born, Banji-Rae, and my sister-friends, Elizabeth (Sumiya) Nkhoma & Anna Musonda Phiri, for reading this manuscript, for your amazing feedback, and for your love and support
My big-little sister, Kessy-La, thank you for bringing me up to speed on wildlife crime prevention and making sure I did not misrepresent the great work that’s been done to stop poaching and crime on wildlife.
To my mentor for the past year, Samhita Rao, thank you for your encouragement and advice while I juggled writing this book with growing my children’s coaching business.
My Veuve-sister, Catherine Ndashe Phiri, thank for providing an avenue to help me build and strengthen both my writing and coaching muscles through my article contributions in SKY Magazine.
Thank you to Renaye Thornborrow and my entire Adventures in Wisdom® family for all the work you do empowering children throughout the world.
A huge thank you to all the game rangers, guides, spotters, and scouts in the national parks that I have visited since childhood: Kafue National Park, Kasanka National Park, Lochinvar National Park, Lower Zambezi National Park, Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, Nsumbu National Park and of course South Luangwa National Park (Mfuwe Lodge & Chinzombo).
I am so grateful for Author Academy Elite; you’re such an amazing team and family. I particularly want to thank Tina Morlock for your faith and belief in this story. Extra-special thanks go out to my super fabulous editor, Felicity Fox, for your guidance, your patience, and your grace.
Finally, to my soul-sister, Shimbs, thank you for bringing ‘The Course’ into my life:
‘By grace I live. By grace I am released.
By grace I give. By grace I will release’¹
Safari Sunrise—A Note to Parents, Mentors, and Educators
If you have been on a safari before, you may recall the conflicting emotions you experienced before, during, and after the safari—excitement, fear, overwhelm, anxiety, then humbled. Whether or not you’ve been on a safari, the journey of life is very similar. You go through ups and downs, calm and quiet introspection moments, and scary and fun moments too.
Sometimes, you are pleasantly surprised but disappointed at other times—you didn’t get to see the leopard this time. In life—or
