INTRODUCTION

With all the loss here lately (income, homes, loved ones), I have found myself more sensitive to what is happening around me and to me. Four people close to me have become widows since my experience of becoming one. If you are dealing with loss of any kind, you may recognize some of the emotions I'm talking about, even though you may not be a widow. When we are grieving from different types of loss, some of the emotions overlap.

Part of learning to survive without
