Author

Bobbi Bidochka

Entrepreneur, Business Professional, Mother of two, and accidental author of Sexual Intelligence in Business. Bobbi felt compelled to write this book in response to the new obstacles we all face in a #metoo era and what appears to be a new form of sexual repression brewing. Eternally outspoken, she was inspired by Women and Gender Studies at McGill University and her lived experience building a business in a male dominated sector. She is the co-founder of WIN4Science, set to encourage women to remain in science and academia. Bobbi participates as a mentor to startups, taking on board member and advisory roles. As a change agent and a fierce sex positive advocate, Bobbi is fighting for a sex-friendly world, one opinion at a time.

We cannot take for granted that readers might not have in-depth knowledge, even if we care about the subject. There is so much to know. Everyone cannot be an expert, and that’s ok. At the same time, it is beneficial to have a baseline of knowledge to come to our own conclusions, instead of exclusively borrowing opinions from others. We often do this for the sake of efficiency. It is part of how our human brains can manage all the information. These days, we take in more knowledge, images, and information in one day than most people did in their entire lifetime, historically. There’s a lot of noise, a lot of opinions. Many of us now rely on social media to present us with news and information, but the algorithms defy us and give back to us the things we like, which causes confirmation bias. We must also expose ourselves to ideas and opinions that we disagree with, which oppose our values and beliefs, that call into question our thinking line. This is an important consideration to help us make informed decisions. The topics in this book are too important not to consider and reflect on. Through this reflection, we can begin to identify the parts that we can apply to our lives and reap its
