Preface

This book is a fictional account of how three totally separate cultures interacted some 3000 years ago. As it progresses, we learn how their cultures function and how they interact with one another. They all have their own agendas and it’s the way they come together that carries the story. On its surface it’s a story about a search for something that is much sought after but very elusive; sort of a Grail story. Another thread to this story examines the world of the Spirit. Whatever you choose to call them they don’t really have names for themselves, just vibrational signatures. These Spirits, or souls, permeate everything but in a good way, or anyway, in a good way as they would define it, not necessarily how we would. Our story also examines parallel Earths which exist at separate vibrations of our same existence. They are in the same place but never touch, and until this story, have had no knowledge of each other. They coexist in the same place but at different frequencies in the same way many different signals at different frequencies or modulations coexist in a single fiber optic cable. I have called the other Earth most central to this story Shonak. I use a good many pages introducing you to the people of that world and examining why they are visiting Earth and how they are doing it. Our Earth, the one we live on, I refer to as Plus-Five, since it is five planetary frequency bandwidths higher than Shonak. And anyway, in 1,000 BCE, our time, there was no common term for Earth and most people did not even know they were on a planet, circling our sun. Refer to the Glossary for details on the differences in time and space.

Chapter 1

Itself

Bang! Itself is born, along with the entire Universe, during the big Creation Event.

But while Itself is alive, It has no substance. It has no coherent thoughts and no language with which to express them even if It did. It is devoid of experience and has no frame of reference for its own existence or the existence of anything else. It is conscious, but it has no way of knowing it or of expressing it. It is a spinning hard drive with no ones or zeros. And so it goes for a long, long, long time in a place where there is no time. There is only is.

As it unconsciously pursues its mute unknowing existence there comes to It the wisp of the beginning of something new. Without language or any experience or frame of reference for anything at all It becomes aware of - something. In experiencing something else it has become aware of Itself! Although at first It does not know what that means and then somehow It understands that Self is somehow Itself. In time it also becomes aware that there are others outside Itself although It cannot express that either. But It knows! Somehow It knows – and there is a richness to this knowing because it is different and new and interesting. Even without knowing how It knows, It knows that It knows! Without any notion of what It knows or any way to express it if It did, this new awareness takes no shape or distinct meaning, but it does carry some form of understanding simply because it does. The fact that Itself knows there is something other than Itself must mean that It thinks and therefore It is! What It is or where It is or why It is or who It is or when It is or how It is escapes It, but albeit tenuous, this awareness It now has of Self and of not-self has become a new and powerful reality for It. It is now aware! It has Learned its first lesson.

All this is pondered for a time even though there is no way to express time and indeed there is no need for it to be expressed. The universe is expanding, growing, doing, and yet Itself has no knowledge of all that and Itself is not so active. Then like a light turning on there is light. Where there had been darkness is now not darkness even though It has no eyes to see or ears to hear or mouth to speak It is forming the understanding that It not only is but that It is becoming – something. No, not becoming, for It already is, but rather It is gradually forming a general notion that Itself has life and that It has the company of other life and that It has the potential to grow even more in awareness. If It knew about intuitive knowledge It would claim that this is what It is using – an intuitive understanding of something It cannot name nor explain other than to realize that it is so. This, too, is pondered for a while in a place where there is no way to measure the length of this time. And then there comes a new notion. Not an understanding by any means, but thoughts of new things, of new potentials, new newness, overtakes It and there begins a sort of cognition about what It might be, if not yet who It is, or why, or where, or how. All these thoughts marinate for another long while until with an explosion of new thought there is a new, firmer level of self-awareness that yearns to know what is going on. It wants to know who It is and what It is and why It is and how It came to be. So, it throws this question out into Creation and there comes an answer.

You are who you are. You are a Spirit on an important journey, and you have taken your first step by becoming aware of yourself. You have also accepted the notion of others simply by extrapolating your existence into them. That is how you have contact with me now where you did not before. You are only just now ready for this. Welcome to your emergence and the beginning of your Journey!

And with that Itself felt a wave of Love and kindness and concern - and it knew Love and happiness for the very first time.

Itself had not been taught to speak nor does It have a mouth or tongue with which to utter any speech, but It has come to know, by hearing those thoughts, the ability to think in terms that can be understood by Itself and by others. It has no ears to hear them, but these are not sounds anyway. They are, rather, thoughts that are experienced in a way that can cross the gap between different frequencies of intelligences. So, Itself forms for the first time the notion of self-identity. It now knows to think in terms of Thisone and Itself. By extrapolation, also forms the notion that there is Thatone who spoke its thoughts to Itself and potentially Themselves should there truly be others out there, too. Having thought itself this far into awareness It hungers for more. And with this self-expression of desire that desire is instantly fulfilled! There was suddenly a chatter of thought and actual conversation among others to which Itself was suddenly privy. Just by thinking that was what it wanted, needed - then it was! Second Lesson, and another leap forward into what It came to understand as thought-creation. Think of it and it is!

Itself had as yet extremely limited understanding of anything so there was not much to think into existence, but this grew with the contact It made with others like Itself. Thus did this inexperienced spirit, another fragment of the Divine, consciously begin its Journey of fulfillment and perfection and Reunification. Such a long road ahead!

Who am I?. Itself cast this thought outward and it was answered, You are yourself, Came the answer.

Who are you? Itself continued to ask.

I am myself, separate and distinct from yourself, came the response. And this satisfied Itself who went to sleep to ponder all this wonderful new information.

Emerging after a while from its inner reflection, Itself felt hungry for more information. It asked Thatone what Thatone was and Thatone replied that It was a Spirit, like Thisone, but that it had much more knowledge, experience, and responsibility. Thisone also learned that Thatone was a Spirit Guide whose current specialty was the emergence of Spirits from Darkness to Light.

What is a Spirit?, asked Thisone.

Spirits are energy beings who were created for a specific purpose when the Creator caused everything to cascade out of Its Essence to bring all of Creation into being. More specifically You and I are unique vibrations of energy within the overall fabric of vibrations that make up all of Creation. Thatone continued, "My vibration and your vibration are what we are known by to ourselves, to others, and to The Divine. We have no names as such, just our unique vibrational energies, which serve to identify us as separate from others. Since we are in a thought-created environment all we need do to reach another Spirit is to think of its vibration and we are connected immediately. At your low level of experience and therefore low level of energy you can’t easily reach out to other Spirits directly, but they can reach out to you. They do this because you have broadcast your thoughts and once those thoughts touch others, they know your unique vibration. Likewise, once they respond you know their vibrations and you can always connect with them again whenever you want simply by thinking of their vibration. If you will recall it was I who reached out to you first, after hearing your question. Once you had experienced my vibration I am now always and forever available to you.

All Spirits, including you, were given intelligence by the Creator in order to work our way through our initially separate and then conjoined Journeys towards the ultimate goal of Reunification with the Divine."

Itself was staggered by the notion just expressed so tersely by Thatone. Itself then retreated, back to Its safe place, where there was no sound or contact with Others. For a long while It pondered what It had been told by Thatone.

Then, when It was ready, much, much later, It once again came out of Its self-imposed, quiet-time exile to ask Thatone for clarification. Itself wanted to know who the Divine was and what did It do to make all this happen, and to create all of Themselves. Thatone responded that It was not yet ready to be told any of this, and Thatone urged Thisone to drift for a while to get more experience and exposure to Others and to Creation. Thatone told Thisone very seriously that It had much to Learn and that the best way to do that was to contact Others and Learn from Spirits that had gone before It. Thatone introduced Thisone to a number of Spirits and let Thisone proceed from there on its own.

So Thisone connected with Others of Themselves to Learn from Them whatever they had to teach. It was immediately in contact with an innumerable bunch of Themselves who were only too eager to help Itself begin Its conscious Journey. The cacophony of thoughts and shared experiences were overwhelming but Thisone fought the impulse to retreat to its silent place because somehow It knew It needed this burst of noisy knowledge to move forward. So, It opened Its consciousness to the thoughts pouring in from all Themselves and in so doing Learned much. When it had taken unto Itself as much as It could tolerate It did then retreat to Its silent place to process what had just been shared by the Others.

First among these new informations was the story of Creation itself.

In the Beginning, that is the Beginning of Everything, there was only the Creator, The Divine One. There was nothing else. No Spirits, save for the Divine, and nothing else whatsoever. The Divine One was unfulfilled – knowing that its potential was unrealized – and so in an instant, all that is, was, and shall be was realized. The Creation Event put this existence into being. And now the Divine One was pleased. The Divine Plan was in motion and it is a grand scheme, where a few simple rules govern the eventual, unsure outcome. It was The Divine’s Plan to determine if Its Essence could come back to its natural singularity when certain specific conditions were met. And there was, and is, no guarantee it will happen. The intelligent Spirits throughout all of Creation were initially totally unaware of anything, even themselves. And from this zero start they would need to become aware, of themselves, and of others, and then they would need to Learn to abandon Hate in favor of Love regardless of provocation, as evidenced by every thought, word, and deed.

Much pondering. Much thought. Initially surprised that It had been asleep so long that Others were quite well along in their Journeys. Where had It been? Why was It not also far along in its Journey? Then the wisps of memory were there. Themselves had shared this with It along with so much more. The Divine did not create all Spirits equally. They were all created at the same instant, but some were larger than others which meant that They were better able to begin self-awareness before the smaller, weaker Spirits could do so. At the present stage of the Creator’s Grand Game, the mid-sized Spirits were emerging from their nothingness to somethingness, the beginning of self-awareness, which is what Thisone had been going through. Again, much thinking about the information It had just been given . . .

This time when Itself emerged from its silent place It was ready for Its Journey, now that It had accepted the reality that It had a Journey and knew a small bit about it. Thatone noticed Thisone’s acceptance and immediately told It that there is another aspect to the Journey that’s vital to the whole process of a Spirit’s advancement towards Reunification. This is the eventual merger with other Spirits to form Spirit-groups at the Compound Spirit and then the Super Spirit level. Individual Spirits who manage to achieve this join the collective consciousness of the merged Spirit where all experiences and knowledge from each individual Spirit’s journey is then available to all the other individuals, who are not really individuals any more. They are part of a Collective Spirit Consciousness of Compound Spirits and Super Spirits. The only difference is the frequency at which each of these two different groups exist. Everything throughout all of Creation has a vibration, a frequency, that it is born into. On the physical planes the native vibration is immutable and cannot change. Spirits of pure energy, born into a relatively low end of vibration in the high-vibration existence of the energetic spectrum, do increase their vibrations as they merge with other Spirits into Spirit groupings. The more individual Spirits that a Compound Spirit has, the higher its vibration will be. Once its vibration has maxed out as a Compound Spirit it can merge with a Super Spirit or become one in its own right. This process is controlled by the rules established by the Divine at the Beginning and are inviolate. And once a Super Spirit has achieved the highest vibration it possibly can then it merges with the Divine himself. The goal of course is for all Spirits to rejoin the Divine following the same set of rules: abandon Hate in favor of Love regardless of the provocation as evidenced by every thought, word, and deed. This sounds simple, but it is not an easy task for any of them. While Spirits can’t be hurt or killed, they can be confused, conflicted, and distracted, as they pursue their Journeys. Spirits who don’t yet know they are on a Journey have much less anxiety than those Spirits who do know of the Divine Plan but find their experience and level of perfection to be lacking and largely untested. They are still discovering who they are. For those with at least that much understanding and for those who have added some experience with the various planes, and especially the physical plane, there is considerable angst. This angst does not stem from any sense of hurry. It stems from their concern over what they don’t know but want to know and indeed need to know about how to proceed.

Thatone also told Thisone about the physical planes and the benefits to be derived from experiences and challenges there. In those lower vibrations Itself would find much to amuse itself and Learn from, beginning with solid materials, known as Physical Forms (PF) and eventually with physical life forms (PLF) and finally Intelligent Physical Life Forms, or IPLFs. Human IPLFs are a particular challenge because they have Free Will, just like Spirits. They are mortal, of course, unlike Spirits, but mortality accrues to everything at the lowest vibrations comprising the physical, bottom end of existence. Unfortunately, not all human IPLFs use their Free Will wisely, but fortunately, thought-creation is denied to them so the trouble they can cause is largely limited to their physical plane. Some human IPLF show a definite bias towards choosing Hate over Love which is useful as a Learning experience for Spirits in the short term but long term it slows down the process of Reunification, if not halting it altogether. Spirits find that working with Human IPLFs on the physical plane provides them with sufficient conflicting motivations to help them move forward if they overcome the conflicts in concert with their human IPLF partners. Thatone continued to tell Thisone that It must Learn the differences between Spirits and physical things, whether sentient or not. It can be argued that human Intelligent Physical Life Forms, or IPLFs, have more difficult lives than Spirits because their pain and suffering and death are real while Spirits feel none of these things except vicariously through their human IPLF hosts. Thisone pondered that argument with some sympathy but Thatone pointed out that all mortal PLFs, intelligent or not, only have their problems for a brief time while immortal Spirits carry their issues forever. Thisone was then told that the inviolate Free Will that all intelligent life has, creates conflicts from the chaos of choice that results from humanity’s competitive interaction. This is what all Spirits must Learn to conquer in order to advance towards Reunification. In order to achieve that, The Divine provided the opportunity for each intelligence to choose the right path over the wrong one in circumstances that offer many alternatives. Hateful, negative thoughts and words and deeds are always options and may be chosen over Loving thoughts and words and deeds. In many cases, from a human IPLF perspective, especially in the short-terminstant gratification favored by most of those mortal beings, the choices to the dark side offer more pleasure than choices towards the Light. So, these temptations must be overcome by Spirits and human IPLF alike and there is an important role for Spirits in helping the more conflicted humans to choose Love and Light over Hate and Darkness. This is the Learning process that helps the Spirit partners of these human IPLFs move forward in their Journeys towards Reunification. That is especially true when experienced Spirits begin to accept responsibility for the actions of their human partners. This is a key issue because before responsibility there is only voyeuristic observation of what the partner goes through and the choices it makes. After the acceptance of responsibility by a Spirit partner there are of course more ramifications to their Journeys. At some point in the maturing of each Spirit it is advisable to voluntarily enter into a contract of sorts that binds the Spirit to the actions of the host partner. This obligates the Spirit to help the host become better than themselves while It, the Spirit, achieves the same thing. When does a Spirit know when It is ready for this big step? It comes to the realization by itself, as it should, with some post-realization guidance from more experienced Spirits who have taken it upon themselves to help lesser-experienced Spirits navigate this expansion of their Journeys.

Once again, Itself felt shocked by the responsibility it would have and once again retreated to ponder all that it had been told and what it had seen when with Others. Much reflection was accomplished and again, when it was ready, It emerged from its thinking to proceed with simple learning, or fact-gathering and experience-harvesting, and the complex Learning that affects any Journey.

When Thisone re-emerged Thatone was immediately ready with another lesson. It wanted Thisone/Itself to understand what the physical planes offered Spirits in terms of advancement and retrogression. So Thisone was informed that It was now ready for initial investment in physical things, so It could experience the lowest vibrations. When It merged with the slower vibrations of the physical plane, It would keep its FW but lose thought-creation. It would gain Time and it would experience physical things going on there, to include mortality. Thatone recommended a particular slab of stone on the side of a hill on one of the worlds on the physical plane. Itself would invest its consciousness into that stone and remain there until it was satisfied It had Learned what it meant to be physical. Thisone immediately agreed and Thatone coaxed it through its first experience reaching a lower vibration with a part of its consciousness and then was shown how to enter the stone.

Thisone was immediately disoriented! Suddenly It felt gravity for the first time, realizing that there is an up and a down to everything. It also immediately noted that the stone was composed of moving parts. Very small individual particles surrounding others and also more complex structures that did not move as much themselves even though the internal parts were moving rapidly. It also noticed that these movements were not consistent. Some parts of the stone were moving faster than others. It experienced warmth and cold. It was fascinated by the atomic and molecular structure and motion of the stone where the warmer parts of the stone moved faster than the cold. Temperature was an unknown thing to Spirits in the energy planes where there was no solid matter, no gravity, no hot or cold. Thisone remained in the stone for a complete cycle of heating and cooling which it would come to know as a day though stones do not reckon time in those terms. Thatone guided Thisone back to the energy planes and asked It for its initial thoughts on the physical plane experience. It wanted to retreat to its quiet place to ponder the experience and prepare an answer but Thatone held it there and told It that those sessions of retreat and reflection were over. It must choose to move forward now, on its Journey, reflecting and processing as it goes. Thatone said It was always available for information when Thisone needed some assistance but that with FW, Thatone could not dictate what Thisone would do.

So Thisone/Itself related to Thatone what it experienced and what conclusions could be drawn from its brief physical plane experience. The chief of these conclusions was that physical life was so totally different than the energetic life Itself was born into. Thatone agreed and then directed Thisone to many different investments in various physical things, none of them living, in order for Thisone to get a usefully thorough perspective.

In a tree, for example, Thisone learned how vulnerable trees are to their environments. They can’t run away from danger. Lightning can cause fires that burn the outer layers of the tree and can kill it, and it must simply endure that without any way to avoid the fire. Thisone experienced a tree which was totally consumed by fire. It felt helpless to prevent it but understood intuitively that life and death was a cycle that the physical planes were accustomed to. When the tree died from the flames, when the last spark of life was gone, and there was no hope for revival, Thisone remained there to witness the decomposition of the wood. For another Journey Thisone invested Itself in a stone at the bottom of a stream bed. The rolling motion of being carried downstream, now moving, now caught on a larger rock, always with water flowing above and around it, was an amazing thing to witness, to experience, while all along of course the atomic and molecular movements were there as well. Itself became part of a rock on the side of a mountain and felt the heat of the rising sun and the cold of the dark nights. Snow, rain, wind, all lashed the surface of the rock which eventually cracked and split from the constant temperature changes. Itself noted that this was part of the life of the mountain, which would someday disappear as it was ground down by the forces around it. Itself became a molecule of water in a vast ocean and then a grain of sand on a beach at the side of this ocean. The physical movement of the internal components of everything and temperature were constantly changing, and these changes all had the potential for changing the state of the water and the sand. Water can become a gas and then condense back into water and sand can become finer and finer as it is ground down by contact with other sand until it becomes a fine powder and loses its identity as sand. Itself pondered that this was the death of a grain of sand but the birth of grains of powder. And over and over and over again this process was repeated until finally Thatone told Thisone some important news. It was now appropriate for Thisone to advance from the simpler physical forms to the vastly more complex physical life forms. And so, a new chapter of its Journey began.

The first life form Thatone introduced Thisone to was a single-celled creature on one of the worlds where such things had emerged. Very soon after becoming one with the PLF it was eaten by a larger PLF. The single cell simply lost thought as its physical components were absorbed by the bigger PLF. So Thisone merged with this larger PLF and soon that PLF was in turn ingested by another larger one. This cycle continued with the succession of PLFs playing unwitting host to Thisone. Occasionally Itself was able to experience periods where life survived for longer periods of time. Thisone remained in that environment going through countless cycles of birth, death, reproduction, hunger, eating, pain, pleasure, movement, stillness, heat and cold. Finally, Thatone came into Thisone’s consciousness and offered that it was now appropriate to move to Intelligent Physical Life Forms, or IPLF. Immediately Thisone agreed and as fast as thought It was invested in what could be called a cockroach. Itself was almost overcome by the feelings of hunger and fear. This host was a ravenous eater constantly searching for something to ingest. It had other thoughts too, like avoiding light which it associated with danger. It also had in the back of its mind the need for reproduction. And what a revelation that was! Itself was actually partnered with another thinking being, with thoughts of its own that had no connection to hot or cold or food or mating. They may have been simple thoughts but for the first time Thisone actually felt a sort of kinship with its partner. And then it had no thoughts at all as Itself realized the cockroach had just been killed by some larger life form and that the cockroach was being eaten. The cockroach had a firm hold on life and when it was snuffed out there was the feeling of anguish and loss, but this lasted only briefly as the ability to think at all was destroyed. Itself wanted to retreat to its silent place at that but did not, understanding that this was all part of Its Journey and the life of the cockroach and indeed, in the life of the thing that ate it.

Itself was Learning.

But not all Spirits were invested in these lives to Learn anything. Many Spirits use physical life forms as sources of distraction, or even entertainment. This voyeuristic visitation to the physical planes may be interesting but it does little to advance any Spirit on its Journey. To be sure, Itself understood, Learning can be achieved through these casual visitations in PLFs and IPLFs. They watch as human IPLF children learn about themselves and what it means to fall down and get back up again, sore, but the wiser for whatever it was that caused the fall. Their human IPLF hosts learn socialization, they learn their physical limits, which change as they grow and develop. They learn what pain is and they learn what victory is when they conquer that jungle gym, or climb to the very top of the tree, or jump across the stream without falling in, or defeat their enemy, etc. Spirits do learn by accompanying human IPLFs during their lives, but they do not Learn the things that will propel them forward on their Journeys. It is only when they accept responsibility for what they achieve with their hosts that they can begin to Learn Journey-specific things. It is only when confronted by choice and then helping to make the right choice that this happens. Their human IPLF host may decide to hurt someone, either physically or emotionally. Their Spirit partner can try to convince them that there are other, better choices. Certainly, the humans will make their own decisions under their Free Will, but the Spirit can inform those decisions before they are acted upon and even before that, during the growing up process the humans have gone through. Spirits have the opportunity to help guide their human IPLF hosts towards a loving nature rather than a hating nature. They are not always successful, but it is the trying that matters. If a Spirit can help steer any human down a more positive path to a better, more loving life, this is what true human-Spirit partnerships are all about! Then if they fail, which all too often happens, and the human makes bad choices in spite of the Spirit partner, the Spirit carries less of a burden into the next partnership; because it tried. Itself noted, from observation that became prior experience, that there is unfortunately a downward spiral that can come into play here. A human partner may be a horrible person who hurts people without a second thought. The Spirit partner carries that shame forward and now must work harder with the next partner – who may also be a bad character – and so after that partnership the Spirit has even more negative energy to deal with - and so it goes. Not all Spirits are up to the task and some of them even become affected (or infected) and decide to join them rather than fight them. These are the fallen angels. They are Spirits who sometimes occupy what some humans call Hell and they take delight in dishing out the punishment that some Spirits yearn for as penance for what they feel was a partnered life of terrible misdeeds that they failed to influence. Eventually some reckoning happens as more advanced and powerful Spirits convince them it is time to try again to move towards the Light. Pretty much the only stress a Spirit can be under revolves around this question, Will this partnership or this act advance me in my Journey, or will I fall back? Inexperienced, individual Spirits never ask this question since they are unaware of the importance of their Journey. More experienced single Spirits eventually do understand their Journey but are still working on how to achieve it. Super Spirits are very aware of every facet to the Journey process and quite a few have experienced some backsliding, so they are by nature very protective of their present status of perfection.
