Dedication
This book is dedicated to my dear, departed friend and unconditional supporter, Bernice M. Whitson, who was such an inspiration and role model for me. Our friendship will always be special to me and her support for me and her faith in me will never be forgotten. I miss my friend so much and I love her deeply and forever. I thank God for her humility and for her patience and for her sweet, sweet spirit. I thank God that she was my dear friend. I thank God for the impact and the lasting influence she had on my life.
Acknowledgements
One of the things I regret most about my first book was that I did not include any dedication or acknowledgements. I would like to thank the following people for their help, support, encouragement, and patience with me during the completion of this new project: My husband, Rickey, who has always let me do me; my children who think that I can do anything; my friend Wilma, who inspired and encouraged me from the very beginning; Augusta, my mentor and biggest cheerleader; the many authors of all the books I have read, for their stories, poems, and ideas; for all the people whose names I forgot to mention; and most of all, for my Heavenly Father, who has given me the gift and the confidence to write this book.
