    Elijah's Heir - Curtis D Whiteman

    Acknowledgments

Rudolph Shaw, Sr. and Gwenda Shaw,

I am blessed to have two sets of parents, I don’t think of my father- and mother-in-law as just my in-laws. They are my father and mother as well. Thank you for loving me and teaching me how to be a parent and husband by the loving example you’ve shown me.

    Apostle Stanley Gorrell,

Prayer lead me to you as a mentee, but submission has developed me into a son. I love you for your love, impartation, and the time you invested into me a person well before the minister was born. I honor you today, tomorrow, and forever.

    Eva Whiteman (Grandma),

I often wonder if you’d be proud of the man I’ve become. Since you’ve been gone, I’ve worked to be a man of truth and principles. You encouraged my independent thinking and will to speak my mind—you are my foundation. I wish you could’ve met my wife and children; I’m certain they would’ve loved you as much as I do. My goal is to build upon the legacy you left behind.

    Sleep in Peace.

It has been my pleasure to know Curtis Whiteman for well over fifteen years in a friendship that has gone from mere acquaintance to a co-laborer in the gospel. I have watched him grow in his relationship with Jesus Christ and in the desire to go deeper and deeper in the knowledge of the Word of the Lord. I have watched him fulfill his duties as a man, husband, father, and servant of the Lord. I truly appreciate the spiritual, moral, and ethical values he exhibits in the Kingdom of God and on this earth. I also appreciate deeply the contributions his family has brought, first to Resurrection Temple and now to the Oil of Joy Church in Brooklyn, New York, and the Kingdom at large.

When I met Curtis, he was quiet but yet had the eyes of an eagle. I watched his servitude, steadfastness, and stand. I admired how he stood by his leaders through thick and thin. His faithfulness was so strong and intense while his words were few and far in between. Watching Curtis and how he operated and maneuvered in the Spirit, I knew at that point God was about to download something great in him that he needed to deposit into the earth realm. Thus he founded the Servants Institute.

No surprise that now he produces this phenomenal piece of work entitled Elijah’s Heir. In reading this book, I find so many powerful profound points that would make you desire, discern, and discover the benefits and blessings that accompany servitude. In this book, you will discover how to maintain a healthy relationship with mentors and spiritual leaders, as well as learn the dynamics of mentoring and
