Tears streamed down Abby’s cheeks the day she visited Grandma BallyHuHu.

It was the first sunny day in nearly a month. Tips of yellow and pink flowers peeked through the soft earth along the walkway leading to Grandma BallyHuHu’s house. For the past hour, starlings and young sparrows chirped from the treetops. Through the window, a cheery face watched for her very special guest.

Grandma BallyHuHu’s house always smelled good. Something yummy seemed to appear every time she had a visitor. Abby’s daddy knew he could count on Grandma BallyHuHu to have lots of delicious treats waiting for her visitors.

Come, sit with me, Abby. Let’s find out what’s made you so sad. Grandma BallyHuHu set a waffle on Abby’s favorite green plate and set it on the table. You sit here and tell me all about it.

Abby nipped an edge of her waffle and sniffed again. "It’s just that there’s never anything fun that happens to
