Sojourns, Anyone? - Kathy Meenach
Introduction
Life as we know it in the United States seems to move at the speed of light. Every moment is filled with some type of project or chore. If you are a woman, life is one big multi-task. How many things can you do at once? You try to squeeze in all that you want to accomplish in a 24 hour day. Your brain is constantly segmenting, compartmentalizing or organizing.
When you finally stop at the end of a day, your body may give out but your brain finds it almost impossible to stop, making it difficult to fall asleep, to get the much needed rest you need to wake up the next day and start all over again. Does this sound like you? Have you chosen the role of complacency, doing the same thing day in and day out? Are you afraid to break out of this mode because it’s just too comfortable? Are you feeling the weight of your responsibilities in trying to be the ultimate mother, the most supportive wife, always the best friend, the hardest worker in the office, be the cleanest housekeeper in the neighborhood, the perfect hostess, be the most extraordinary
