    The word Hope is significant to our earth’s emotional climate, which is considered hopeless by so many. Does your life represent hope? Hope in an unchanging God…Hope in His Word and in His name? Hope suggests that there is a future, another chance, a hand to help you get up, strength for another day … Hope goes Beyond natural boundaries and allows you to see into the land of possibility. You can see why the enemy would love to steal your vision of hope and cause hopelessness to overrule your current circumstance. Don’t give him the privilege. Hang on!

    Hebrews 6:19 says,

    We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.

    Introduction

    I was sitting there, doing my best to relax, taking in the hum of motors whirring, pings for announcements, and then opening my eyes to the realisation that I was on a plane to Sydney, along with my youngest daughter in tow, sitting there beside me! This situation was beyond believable - considering the storm of emotions that had played out in recent weeks!

    On all accounts, this trip should have been entirely different. What I had pictured was me going away with girlfriends to enjoy a week away and my youngest daughter, at home, receiving due course for what had transpired. But no, it turned out quite the opposite!

    When confronted with it all, weeks earlier, I desperately asked the Lord, what do we do here?. As always, He gently stepped in to say, take her with you, it will do her so much good!. Now all I had to do was have a conversation with my husband and share God’s great idea and ask him, can you now please purchase her an airfare on frequent flyers?.

    *****

    I have been privileged to attend the Women’s Colour Conference in Sydney (run by Hillsong Church) several times over the years and have had their catchphrases grab my heart & Spirit – these vital deposits that have impacted me are;

    The need for sisters to come alongside other sisters in the Lord

    The need to empower women to place value in humanity

    And what God can do with a company of women, united and devoted in one cause for Him

    I was there at the ‘Colour Conference’ in March 2008, and a speaker emphasised the scripture passage from Hosea chapter 2. The verses that spoke to me were 14 & 15 from the Amplified bible;

    ¹⁴ Therefore, behold, I will allure her [Israel] and bring her into the wilderness, and I will speak tenderly and to her heart. ¹⁵There I will give her her vineyards and make the Valley of Achor [troubling] to be for her a door of hope and expectation. And she shall sing there and respond as in the days of her youth and as at the time when she came up out of the land of Egypt.

    The part I love in verse 15 says, to be for her a door of HOPE and expectation and she shall sing there and respond as in the days of her youth. That part of God giving me a door of HOPE, a way out just strikes a chord within me for more of Him and then when it follows on to say and she shall sing there and respond as in the days of her youth is just like nectar or water to my heart and soul.

    I don’t know about your youth, but when I was nine years old, and at school, I was such an upfront child, Class Captain, House Sports Captain, and the list went on. I was the orchestrator of things that needed organising and had no qualms of just getting up there and doing it. But then as I got older and
