The Journey Begins
F
ollowing the new year, I was doing some post holiday shopping and looking for after-Christmas bargains. This shopping trip led me on a journey that I would understand later on. While waiting in a long checkout line, I stumbled upon a spoon holder (I will give it that name for lack of anything better). It holds the spoons that you use for cooking and sits on your stove. It is something you look at every time you are at the stove. This spoon holder caught my eye because it had an interesting message on it. It said, Be still and know that I am your God.
I thought that message was remarkably interesting. I remember thinking that this must have been a message from God. He must have been talking to me: The Busy lady.
So, I chuckled to myself, bought the holder, and put it on my stove.
In the back of my mind, I thought, Well, I am busy, but I do know who my God is.
So, I thought that maybe this message was for someone else but that I could use it, too, as a reminder that there is a God. I had read those words daily but had not really paid attention to what the words meant. Yes, they are immensely powerful words, but what do they really mean? How could I apply those words to my life? Who would have thought that nine simple words would be the catalyst to a new life? I would find out later…in the near future.
Anticipation of the Cruise

t was now February 2020, the month of our much-anticipated vacation. A vacation that I was looking forward to so I could just go and relax. I keep myself remarkably busy, most of the time too busy to even sit down and think. I was looking forward to going on a cruise, a time to unwind without thinking about anything constructive.
In the middle of February, we left for our long-awaited cruise. It started off with the seven of us almost missing our flight to Florida due to the late arrival for our connecting flight in Atlanta. But we made the connection with just ten minutes to spare. We arrived in Florida just in time to board our ship for six days of pampering and plain enjoying life. We could now sleep in and go to breakfast whenever we wanted. We would spend the days on the islands that were designated on our itinerary and meet up with our friends for dinner in the dining room. The weather was beautiful, and we felt very relaxed. No phones were ringing and there were no clocks to
