    Dedication

    Dear Reader,

    I dedicate this book to you and to those who seek the truth, knowing that the truth will free you from improbable beliefs. Nothing is more rewarding than knowing that what we know is true with the highest certainty. But we know our level of knowledge does not allow us to reason beyond our understanding. Prudence prevents us from thinking and acting based on false assumptions; and makes us aware of the limitations of our knowledge. The theme of this book will fascinate you, and the evidence presented can open a window to the dimension of spirits, including your soul. Your mind can see life from another perspective of your reasoning.

    The author.

    Ride on Winged Horses

    Close your eyes, my dear friends,

    and feel the fresh air caressing your lips;

    sense the warmth of thoughts about

    journeys that started but have no ends,

    and follow the hints and tips.

    for which your heart cries out.

    Let the wild spirit within you

    ride on winged horses: your choices.

    Let them jump the hurdles of your shell

    and explode your wishes long due.

    Lead your emotions, as did Moses,

    but to the promised gardens you smell.

    Live life for life that only once comes,

    the same that each day by sunset is gone.

    Let your time not go by as an empty day

    but fill it with passion, not crumbs;

    fill it with glorious love in deeds done,

    while placing yourself as you may.

    Only then your soul will be realized

    out of the unbearable exhaustion you felt

    when the love you long for once melt

    by rules and laws, you abide.

    In the wondrous journeys we take,

    our spirits let, with persistence

    each day, our tireless minds know

    there is, oneness. And for love’s sake,

    let in this generous existence,

    the endless Life Cycles we undergo.

    Life is short; so, ride your time through

    on winged horses of challenging stature.

    But the spirits and feelings are always true

    in this physical world, by nature,

    Love always waits for you.

    Prologue

    Shadows of souls come out when humans reach deep mental absorption. They unleash moorings that keep human egos tied to themes, emotions, and material problems. Your mind reach higher thoughts while in that trance-absorption. Soul awareness is the shield that protects the human body and filters emotions, problems and issues that can disturb its absorption state. The ego sleeps while the mind remains alert. Existence is reality and unreality in its domain. And your mind sublimates consciousness of reality, as in a dream; enjoy seeing the world behind a glass window. It’s a fantastic state! The mind reaches omniscience in the spirit dimension and sees creation in its entirety. What a beauty that is!

    I’m on the street, Arroyo Seco Parkway. That street passes over California Highway 110. I’ve finished my part-time work, and I’m going to downtown Los Angeles. I walk this street, and I stop at this overpass every day: I love watching the hectic road under the bridge. The vehicles rush in both directions, in and out, under the bridge, winding through the traffic lanes. And I ask, what happens in the minds of drivers when they travel home after a day of work? The mystery of knowledge haunts my mind. Traffic is heavier on weekdays than on weekends; but today, for an unknown reason, the road is empty. It’s only 4:30 pm. this Friday, it is as if people have left town. It’s a spooky afternoon, scary as Halloween. I’m falling into that state of deep absorption this afternoon. The weather is cloudy but warm, somewhat windy and humid, which increases the unsettling feeling. Thinking of dread, I finished reading the book–Misterios, Amor, Luz and Vida–by Miguel Soto. He says that light–knowledge–is what drives the universe, and the purpose of existence; it is love, suggesting that with knowledge and love humans can live with love, for love, and to love. His writing inspires me.

    When I finish my university studies of English, I will write on the secrets of the spirits; this issue is fascinating! And I will write my book as a thesis, with the evidence available. First, I’ll present the premises and methods, tracing the topic and then my conclusions. My mind darkens, I’m confused. Where was I? Yes, I was thinking of the book. What? Look, it’s impossible, I’m done writing that book. How and when did I do it? I don’t know, my mind worked beyond reality, I can see that, and I present my thesis in the prologue, proposing that spirits are energy; we can neither create nor destroy it. Each spirit is a molecule of a global spirit. The spirits exist, no new ones. Spirits enter human eggs at the moment of fertilization; and this spirit becomes the soul of the body. Humans believe that spirits return in other human bodies. Is it possible? Yes! One for each new creature, although energy is finite in the universe. Free spirits interact with souls in humans, and souls interact from human to human; these interactions are real and occur often. If we cannot see or touch the spirits, we can study the existence and or their behavior. Get involve, my reader, and look for signs of encounters with spirits inside and outside your being.

    Wait, I hear heavy engines. Wow, look; that guy on the motorcycle chases that car. He’s got a gun and he’s shooting at the car. They must go over a hundred miles an hour, driving over the highway’s shoulder; they meander through the traffic lanes. They’re approaching the overpass where I am. Oh, my God, they crashed. Oh, oh, what’s happening? Oh, my head hurts. I cannot feel anything; I can’t see. Everything is dark; everything is quiet, floating, as if time stopped or was in slow motion. I woke up. The daylight is bright as I have not seen it before; I have no pain, where am I, where am I? I am fainting; my mind is blank. Silence is deep. Time stood down; the world stopped; that’s weird. I can see and hear everything with my mind across time. That’s crazy! I feel strange, my mind. I hear and see this at the same time. It’s like in a movie I can go backwards or forwards. I see the commotion, and I’m a part of it. Tell me, reader, am I dead or am I dreaming! I feel nothing, I just perceive and think.

    CHAPTER 1

    Premises and Approach

    Abstract

    If I asked, have you ever seen a spirit, heard or spoken to it? Your answer is probably, No, I haven’t, and I would understand. Most humans don’t talk about their encounters, because they know that people make fun of these stories. But are you right to mock these experiences? No. And if I said, I saw a spirit crossing in front of me; or I heard a voice that told me something that’s about to happen; or, a spirit stopped me before I set foot on the street, kept me on the sidewalk, just as a vehicle flew by. What would you say? Maybe you’d assume I’m making up the stories. But these events can happen; I have many examples, I can tell. The question is not what you experience, or what I went through; the question is how to test these encounters with the spirits. They are entities of another dimension, intangible and invisible; and humans can’t capture images to prove their encounters. Human beings have few or zero evidence to prove their brushing with spirits. In my mind, perhaps humans can plan a proposal and find ways or methods to base their contacts with spirits. I have thought about this subject for a long time; and the author came up with a suggestion he tries to explain: it’s the hypothesis of my book.

    The Premises.

    Humans are so used to the real dimension: here they are born; here they live and die–but they exclude the unreal dimension. Is there an unreal dimension? perhaps, but humans are not sure, or positive, and this truth is why they are eager to discover. The subject of the behavior of spirits and souls is difficult if not impossible for humans. Humans don’t even know where to start. They need a guide or route; but also, a map, and an action plan: the premises, the themes and the method, which can logically lead them to the finish line. So, let’s get started. But not so fast, my friend, not so fast. First let’s list the premises, which we need to study and document, for which humans need to have credible explanations. For the author these premises, concerns or questions, are as follows.

    Ten key questions:

    Are there spirits?

    If so, where?

    Do we have a spirit in the human body?

    So, how do spirits enter the body?

    -And if that happens, what are we, humans?

    What happens while a spirit is in the body?

    When and how does a spirit leave?

    Where do spirits go after the body dies?

    Do they come back?

    Is there contact with spirits and humans?

    Can they go out and re-enter the human body?

    These challenge the existence of spirits. And we’ll study them in this book. Have these assumptions as we pass through the chapters and episodes of the book. How can we study the questions and produce answers to give credible conclusions? How can we answer them? We need a plan and a procedure or a method to do this study and repeat it as often as necessary. Any experiment we suggest or do must be repeatable and produce the same result. If not, the study is not valid as all deductive or inductive inferences.

    Method - What does it require?

    The nature of the topic requires specific procedures. However, we do not have real tools or procedures to see the invisible and grasp the intangible. We may not study the existence or behavior of spirits; unless we enter that unreal dimension and study the spirits right there. But how can we get into that dimension, we need a procedure? But a procedure–or method–that includes at least the following.

    Six necessary actions:

    Define the dimension of spirits;

    Define life cycles:

    Integration of spirits;

    Separation of souls;

    Establish the nature of the human;

    Identify the spirit in the human;

    Describe the behavior of spirits, and;

    Describe the encounters of the spirits.

    A nine-step sequence.

    One–sequence. explains the separation of spirits from the human body. Two–we studied the inflection of spirits in human eggs. Three–we describe the birth process and the interactions of spirits. Four–we describe encounters with spirits while in human bodies. Five–we explain the life of dual beings. Six–we give evidence to support the author’s thesis. Seven–we explain the structure of spirits and the management of the spirit in the human. Eight–we explain encounters with the spirits. And nine–finally, we give end notes that support or complement the author’s thesis. The author explains the purpose of the existence and nature of the spirits simultaneously. The book also features a play, Life Cycles: A Dialogue of spirits and humans. And while the order of explanation jumps from topic to topic, the discourse addresses the six elements and the nine fundamental steps. Well, we take at least five assumptions as the basis of the theory; without them, it is difficult to address the issue.

    Five basic assumptions.

    One–spirits exist and ghosts may not. We are hoping spirits exist to validate the need to develop the thesis. If the assumption is impossible, the study ends, and the spirits are vain and null, or we cannot study them.

    Two–spirits exist in a dimension of their own. That we cannot see or touch the spirits leads us to assume that they are in a dimension where we cannot enter easily.

    Three–the dimension contains everything that is unreal, or not real. If we assume that spirits are in a dimension of their own, let us say this dimension has all that is unreal, invisible and intangible. Anything that is not material is not real.

    Four–spirits are energy, and energy can interact with matter. But if we assume that spirits are energy, we also add to themselves that they move in space and time. And as energy, they can interact with matter, and become matter in the universe.

    Five–spirits have mind; minds have intentions and purposes. People believe that spirits come and can contact humans, but not the other way around. But beliefs are assumptions that might not be true. So, if spirits contact humans, they have their own minds, purposes and intentions. There is a possibility that humans can connect with spirits whenever they want. We assume that spirits live in an unreal dimension, and we must establish their existence and behavior at the beginning of this study. The two dimensions, real and unreal, occupy the same space of the universe and, therefore, they are in contact. These contacts are paranormal events that humans might perceive; or maybe they don’t understand them. We cannot explain these events–paranormal–we have no tools or methods to capture them. ¹Because of these difficulties and the lack of gnosis of the subject, let us carry out a deductive-inductive study in this method. Let’s start with observable paranormal phenomena applying the universal law of cause and effect that says, (paraphrasing), The universal law of cause and effect holds that for each effect there are definite causes, and for definite causes, there is a definite effect. But the law of cause and effect involves causal events.² A sequence of events is because an event depends on one or more completed events.³ With this law, we can build chains of events to walk back from a paranormal event to its origin. The law of cause and effect allows us to reconstruct the source of final results. Therefore, we can reconstruct the reality of life, returning step by step to its origin. We have evidence to reconstruct the road. The universe hides nothing; knowledge is available to those who seek it. The universe and its content behave in patterns that follow the laws of existence. The content includes what is material, and what is not; for problems, objects and creatures. The author responds to the ten premises of this book, which may serve as the basis for further research. There is no better method for teaching than letting students have their experience. We then inject and record the physical, mental and or psychological stimuli that exalt the five brain waves; such as the Alpha and Theta waves.⁴ The first wave induces relaxation and calm in the mind; and the second elevates the mind to the state of deep relaxation and visualization. In this condition, the mind synchronizes reality with unreality; and handles both worlds well simultaneously. The order of life of living entities is to be born, to live, to reproduce, to produce and to die. Who cannot stop or reverse these stages? No one can; these stages are infallible and irreversible in the half-life cycle for all living creatures. Which of these is more important than the others? none; all are equally important and necessary. Each is part of the chain cause of events in the life cycle. And this is one of life’s mysteries.

    Why are we born and why do we die, what is the reason for living and what happens before we are born or after we die? The separation of the soul from the body at death is a mysterious event, at least for humans. Humans long to know how they can stay in touch with a loved one who died. Loved ones remain longing to be in touch with those who leave forever. The author considers, perhaps you too, that we must first study what happens during death. And then we study where and when a spirit enters a human egg. Which human wouldn’t like to know what happens when they die? Would you like to know? There must be an easy way to explain this event with physical means.

    This book presents a live theatrical play in your mind–as a reader–to explain its theory. The author creates an audience for you to see the play, Life Cycles. The cast includes spirits, except for a few humans added to connect with the physical world. A soul freed from its body comments on the actions of the spirits until it realizes that it must return to the body from where it came from. Another spirit-guide moderates the actions of spirits within the play; and other spirits discuss details of the side of the spirits and their journeys to the material dimension. Everything happens in the reader’s mind and while reading this book.

    The play is part of the study’s method. Six characters play the role of spirits that migrate from their dimension. Other spirits dance to the music of the mind; the mystical music of the five waves that human brains transmit and receive; it is the sublime music of enchantment. Spirits act their mysterious way of life in the spirit dimension. Ah, everything is peaceful and quiet, reflecting a life full of love, which calls souls peace. The theme of the work focuses on human lifestyles and discrepancies between rich and poor. The script points to the social and economic inequalities that create migrations and flows from the poor to rich countries; masses traveling from threatened regions to safe lands. People walk long distances, escaping poverty and hunger. America is the largest, most powerful and richest nation on earth–a beacon of hope. It was on Wednesday, October 12, 1492, that Christopher Columbus discovered America, a vast new continent, opening a route and a door for immigrants to flow to America. No one should claim to be a true American, only the natives living here before people from the old continent invaded these lands.

    You know something? Humans are good souls; but many selfish and greedy individuals changed the true purpose of life, a long time ago. Today, a handful of individuals–the rich and powerful–control the lives of most of the world. Is this a fair situation? No, it isn’t. This situation does not reflect the purpose of life: that it is to care for and share with our fellowmen under the power of love. All humans may preserve their lives, their thoughts, decisions and actions that aim to achieve that purpose. It is a mandate of the existence and mission of the universe. To support this truth, the United States of America offers opportunities that migrants want and seek. In other parts of the world, particularly third-world nations, the living situation is not like in the United States. A person’s life at risk is a fatal drama; fear of death is a reality strewn with drug and human trafficking cartels, such as the Sinaloa cartel. In the spirit world, this situation does not exist. There is true equality, and every spirit is for every spirit, and everything is for all spirits. There is true justice and equality for all in its dimension.

    The work tells how spirits travel to earth and embed in human bodies. The body and soul then travel together in the physical world for a life until the body loses its presence. The book has eleven chapters organized in an order contrary to the life cycle. In chapter one (Premises and approach), the author opens the discourse on the presence of spirits in the world. You may have many questions on this subject; but the author only presents ten around the appearance of the spirits. Do you think there are spirits around us? True, they not only exist, but they are within our bodies. In this chapter, we study why we think they are with us all the time. In addition, we confirm their existence and behavior while they are on earth. But we need to make basic assumptions before we start our analysis. You don’t think it’s just a flicker and you’re smart, do you? Maybe it isn’t; it’s a difficult subject. Spirits are the love that comes to help human consciences in their fight against evil. Evil is in the immoral egos of men. Even if the ego is part of the soul within them; so, the fight is against the human ego. However, the author shows the human situation in chapter two. But in chapter three, we expose the mystery of the life cycles.

    Do you know what life cycles are? Yes or no? Well, don’t worry; we can discover with the laws and logic of the universe. I am sure that the truth is splendid; and we will reward us. So, stay with me, and we can both discover the truth together. Are you curious? Well, in chapter four we witness the birth of new souls, and also their struggles to survive. Life is difficult after all; because nothing is free. We always pay for everything we get with our efforts. You know, very few give a hand to people in poverty. The poor live at the mercy of their God, if it is true. Do you believe in miracles? In chapter four we witness miracles, but we have to pay attention when they happen. Spirits are souls when they live in a human body as a normal human or what we are used to seeing every day. We see how they behave in chapter five. Is there a devil who tempts us? Well, if you’re a religious person, you can say there is. I don’t blame you; it’s your belief. I don’t think there’s one; because spirits work to preserve life, for and with pure love. Spirits are the love that comes to help human consciences in their fight against evil. Evil is in the egos of evil men. Even if the ego is part of the soul within them; so, the fight is against the human ego–Chapter 6. Chapter Seven presents potential evidence and valid conclusions of spirit experiences. Humans have the potential to communicate with spirits in the spiritual dimension. It’s good to open your mind to understand other people’s beliefs–Chapter eight. Thus, we verify the validity and solidities of our own beliefs. I did it and discovered that religions are similar and evolved into similar paths. Beliefs are not important, but their truth we can prove with evidence–Chapter 9, Evidences, in the universe. There are five major religions in the world, and these religions support the author’s theory. Perhaps the evolution of man’s knowledge comes from the omniscience. This book shows how spirits become souls of human bodies. The author reveals the structure of the soul that manages a human; and describes encounters with the spirits in chapter ten, noting signs of their presence in the world. In this chapter, the author shows that humans are dual beings. But the most important thing is to recognize that we have a mind, a conscience, and an ego. And although we cannot see or touch these elements with high certainty, we are not material beings but spiritual beings. The author puts out this theory and tests it in this book. Humans are dual beings in the dimension of reality; our soul comes from the dimension of spirits. And that soul sets up and manages the material organism we know as a body. Souls, invisible and intangible, need the body, matter, to exist in a real, tangible and visible world. The situation is complex for spirits. Humans carry a small part of the global spirit of existence, their soul. And this soul thinks and directs the human body’s actions. That’s why the human situation is even more complex, confusing and mysterious. The great premise of the author’s theory is the purpose of existence, which we can merge into a single question; why is there life in the universe? Yes, the universe is a large space full of energy and matter. Matter and energy would have no importance if they were just to fill the universe. But, in reality, energy and matter cannot create life. The laws of existence control the circumstances and conditions and specify the requirements for different life forms. Any form of life only appears when the scenario’s conditions meet the requirements of life. This is really the purpose for creating life, with love for love. This is the situation of life.

    The Point.

    When reality is confused

    in the intense heavenly light,

    and the attachment to material;

    slowly defused,

    the soul transcends the bright

    world and returns to the ethereal,

    the infinite existence,

    to the embrace of deep love.

    There, life does not end,

    it remains blessed in its persistence.

    There again in goodness drove

    love to germinates and send

    the only reality, which inscribes

    in every action, in every endeavor.

    The care or share that drives

    life not death; and in this fatality,

    the real point is the unreality.

    A spirit energizes the existence and its two worlds, invisible and visible. And they pour out love, light, and life upon objects and creatures in the material dimension. The universe and the earth contain only invisible energy and tangible matter. And living creatures of two forms of a substance we cannot create or destroy. An eternal spirit exists in two forms in this reality. And the spirits of life roam the earth for a bit of a time of existence; but spirits and human entities never die. Human life is a pulse of transient time at a small point in space. Our spirits come and go and come back as often as they need, randomly. And every time they enter a different body it’s a journey with new experiences; the same spirit with the same purpose, the spread of love, and establishment of oneness. The endless journeys to planet earth, and that we live forever in the spiritual dimension, are tangible proofs of the Life Cycles. There is no reincarnation, and I write, thinking of humans’ immortality.

    The questions that fly in our minds are the voices of the spirits? Maybe they want to connect with us on sleepless nights. And those ideas that jump into our minds when we face daily problems can be messages that spirits send us. And in quiet twilight hours the shadows we perceive could be spirits saying they are with us; and remind us we are not material. You know, it’s strange, but knowledge, feelings, emotions, and thoughts are not physical. They are in, and come from, a world we can neither see nor touch. It’s the spirit world. We are not physical beings, but we have material bodies. We are mentaurs: a creature with a soul that lives in the dimension of the spirits and body of a physical beast dwelling on earth. Where do we come from, or better yet, how does a soul merge with the beast? We don’t know. We only recognize that we live, but are we sure about that? Do we know where we’re going when we die? We still don’t recognize that, but maybe we’ll do it in time. There are problems and things we do not understand; but given in causal events that allow us to trace events back to their origin. That’s why we say something happens for a reason, and this may be true. Each event has a set of unique requirements to make it happen; but we don’t have control over all the requirements. If the conditions do not meet the requirement set, the event does not happen, at least as it should. This applies to all events that occur in the physical world. It would be a dream to control all those conditions, wouldn’t it? What is the meaning of all this? It means that the event occurs if the environment gives the conditions; otherwise, it doesn’t happen. It’s that simple! The mentaurs we perceive fit a typical case. Integrating a spirit and a body is a great strange and mysterious event. It’s an event we may not understand. And we speak of spirits as evil entities inclined to hurt us; but is this true? Perhaps, but this notion may be a fabrication of the human mind; which, to be fair, can be a misconception. Man has lived with these concerns for centuries. It took millions of years for his mind to evolve. While humans lived indefinitely, the soul trained the mind and configured the human brain. We live, right, and yet we misunderstand life and death. We realize that we may die, sometimes without notice; however, we avoid the idea or concept of death. We fear death, but is it death itself or leaving everything on earth? Death is the end of our lives, but are we sure of that? Perhaps we do not know what death is; or maybe we don’t know that the Life Cycles never end.i Death is a terrifying idea. Are you afraid of death? It’s an experience we live, but we shut up and decide not to tell anyone. We leave this physical world, leave our family, friends and belongings. But perhaps what we love most is not life itself, but a delusive status of fame, wealth, and power. We love that status that our stubborn egos create in our weak minds. It seems we don’t know or don’t care what happens after we die. Think! Do we have a spiritual life after death? Maybe so, but not like humans think. We’re confused. Aren’t we going to continue our material life after death? No. Humans create symbols to represent problems, object themes, and live with them. Soon after, we associate with these symbols and give them values higher than they represent. We assume that symbols are the true elements, forgetting what they are–simple symbols. Each living object and creature has a unique truth and value. But we create concepts and situations we want to be true. Our attitudes toward life are those false truths; since the man’s inception. And we, perhaps we can no longer change, cannot understand our role and purpose in life. I say, there are those who do not create false realities; because they have no illusions of possessing or pursuing fame, wealth or power. Humans become fond of materiality, ignoring that purpose; truths for what money and power make our lives enjoyable. All of that is material; nothing belongs to us except life. And we work to be rich, famous and powerful. There is a price for everything we get that is minimal or nothing, compared to living conformed, grateful and satisfied with what we have, looking without urgency to improve the situation. This must be the reason for our life in the real world. It is glorious to be born, but death is terrifying; those are the two moments, the beginning and the end of a life. Humans experience this strange contrast in the ways of their lives. We all cry at birth and our parents and relatives celebrate our arrival; then we become disenchanted, wishing to leave this material life. And we weep. By then, we are tired of suffering unnecessary conflicts and tribulations. Birth, life and death are three phases of the Life Cycles. And love is a mystery of existence. The material world is not for spirits, but what we can see and touch, do you see? For living beings there are Life Cycles, and nothing else; but we do not interpret it well; and for most humans, life is only their presence on earth. We can blame no one for fearing death, not understanding Life Cycles. One aspect is clear; the whole cycle of life is only for spirits. The bodies of living creatures, such as those of humans, only take part once in a life cycle–and only–in half of the cycle. Spirits return to a different body in each cycle. And we are not what we were before; this is sad, isn’t it? Maybe it’s not. But it is not true that a person who dies and returns to material life. The spirit can return to a new body, but it is a different person; it’s a different human soul and mind. It also does not seem workable there will be a final judgment during which all humans who live or have lived will face a trial. Let us only think. If so, the spirits would have as many identities as the number of bodies they stayed in. The final judgment is a paradigm–a creation of religions. It’s a trick to influence fear, to dominate the human minds.

    We could overcome the fear of death and accept it as reality, reasoning our individual beliefs. We may discover who will help us prove or confirm that every life is new and is not the continuation of a previous life. But we’re not aware of that. Maybe we tell no one for reasons of personal protection. We know that we cannot prevent our deaths; we are born; we live for a short time, and we die. This is the physical truth; the evidence we live in these continuous cycles; endless life cycles; but don’t frighten. Your life results from causality, cause and effect, over which no human being has control. Spirits do not choose bodies where they become souls. A spirit randomly enters a human body and is the brother of other spirits housed in other bodies; are obvious, and without questions or arguments, or doubts about it. Everything is complex! Who could have established that routine if not a global intelligence; for what purpose? There is evidence that life is spiritual; that spirits enter human bodies and remain in our material dimension for a short time. What do you think, is it possible? Why not? We have that a spirit lives within each of us and that it will, or enter, Shangri La, heaven, Nirvana, etc., when our bodies return to inert matter. Our lack of understanding, and or the whims, ties or bonds of our egos attach us to this material world. And so we don’t want to see that other side. For our egos, this life is the most wonderful, the only experience, living creatures can have. But living creatures may not take their form and material substance out of this real world. People think we’re going to a purgatory–an undefined site–after death. But our material bodies
