I have always been good at finding new ways to entertain myself.

I’ve built tree houses, castles in the sky, and even a tower surrounded by lava once. I’ve dug straight down from ground level to bedrock (not recommended), trapped an entire horde of zombies inside a glass building, and traveled to The End. Twice.

I never thought I would say this. But I think I have finally run out of things to do.

I came to this realization earlier this morning. As I walked with Dog through the new underground bunker I built entirely out of stone bricks, I started to realize that maybe, just maybe, I have way too much stuff … and not nearly enough things to do with it.

We went down the steps and came to the first tunnel. One wall was made of stone. The other wall was made entirely of…diamond blocks.

Yeah. I had that many diamonds to spare.

    Dog barked in protest.

I spent weeks digging out a complicated system of tunnels underground. I’m pretty sure I went fourteen days straight without ever seeing the sun. I even planted a garden underground and built mine carts and rails to take me to unfinished digging sites faster.

I thought that project might be able to last me a while, but all it got me was more stuff to store even deeper underground.

Must be getting dark out there, I said, leading Dog down a hallway with a door at the end. I guess I’ll spend some time above the surface for awhile. Maybe work on expanding the tree house a little more.

Dog turned to stare back in the other direction, obviously wondering why we weren’t heading back up to ground level now.

Why go all the way back up when I can just sleep down here? I gestured to the next room, where there were two
